Gaussian Networks subsidiary Adda52 claims it has a user base of 800,000

Adda52, an Indian online poker operator in the Gaussian Networks group, has announced the launch of its downloadable desktop poker software, giving PC poker fans access to all of its games and tournaments.
The company took the opportunity to claim that it has 800,000 users.
The new desktop software has been developed with the fluctuating internet bandwidth in India front-of-mind, the company said in a statement Wednesday, claiming that the product ensures uninterrupted gameplay even at low connectivity. It is available for download for all Windows PC users (32 bit and 64 bit).
Anuj Gupta, founder and CEO of Adda52.com said in the company's statement: "After hearing directly from players, via one-on-one discussions and focus groups, the need for a desktop client was clearly visible. The new Adda52 software for desktop makes the poker gameplay secure and as seamless as possible. From a single-game playing user to the multi-tabling regular players, it upgrades the playing experience of every online poker enthusiast in India."
Gupta said that Adda52's growing user base illustrated the increasing popularity of poker as a game of skill in India.
