Two of the world's top teams scheduled to go head-to-head in 'Best of Three' DOTA challenge at Betway
One of the first online gambling operators to get into the eSports scene, Betway, has announced that its eSports Fight Night will return on 23 June and will feature Alliance and Na'Vi — two of the globe's premier eSports teams —competing for a Euro 5,000 prize to be donated a charity of the winning team's choice.
Betway became the first online bookie firm to launch a dedicated eSports portal in August 2015, and will be offering a comprehensive collection of markets on the 'Best of Three' DOTA crunch match.
Hosted on Swedish newspaper Aftonbladent's Twitch channel on Thursday 23 June, Betway's Fight Night pits Alliance against Na'Vi who will be hoping to claim bragging rights, in addition to a cheque for Euro 5,000 to be donated to charity.
Betway's Anthony Werkman said: "Following the success of the inaugural event, Betway's Fight Night is back with a bang and pits two of the world's greatest teams against each other for bragging rights and a cash prize.
"Our dedicated eSports portal isn't even a year old yet and we've seen eSports grow beyond our own lofty expectations, featuring regularly in our daily top 10 sports for turnover."
The last edition of Betway's Fight Night saw Sweden's Fnatic defeat Denmark's Astralis three games to nil in a hotly contested Counter Strike Global Offensive match.
In the last 12 months, Betway has tripled its eSports team to accommodate a significant surge in interest from eSports bettors.
