Online Gambling Shines For British Columbia Lottery Corp revenue exceeds expectations and grows 24 percent to Cdn$135.5 million in fiscal 2015

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation's performance figures for fiscal 2015 ended March 31 2016 show that online gambling was an outstanding performer, with the company's subsidiary delivering year-on-year revenue growth better than expectations of 24 percent at Cdn$135.5 million.
BCLC's online division earned twice the revenue of its equivalent in Quebec – – with officials attributing the superior performance to continual product enhancements and innovation, and a faster implementation system.
Overall, the land and online gambling Corporation's profit was up 4.7 percent year-on-year at Cdn$1.31 billion on total revenue of Cdn$3.1 billion, prompting Corporation officials to boast that BCLC is the only Canadian provincial gambling monopoly that has not seen a decline in revenue in fiscal 2015.
Lottery revenue in the province rose 15.8 percent to Cdn$1.15 billion, the highest growth among Canadian lotteries, but land casino operations remained largely flat with revenue at Cdn$1.81 billion.
