PlayWPT app designed to open up new markets for poker provider
The World Poker Tour has announced the launch of a new app titled PlayWPT, which the company hopes will enable it to open up new market opportunities. The app features both poker and progressive slot action branded Time Slots.
PlayWPT is a free-to-play social casino platform with support for desktop and Facebook, and plans for a mobile app coming before the end of the year. The free-play element can be topped up by buying additional chips with real money.
WPT will be competing with established companies like WSOP and Zynga in the space.

His passing in February 2019 was a dark day for us. He will be forever missed.
