Quickspin Revamp Popular Title

And preview new mythical fairy tale adventure

Swedish games developer Quickspin has relaunched its ‘Goldilocks and the Wild Bears’ with an HTML5 upgrade and the integration of its Achievements Engine.

First released in 2014, the troublesome golden girl is back and naughtier than ever before with improved HTML5 technology providing a more immersive user experience and the ability to play in portrait mode for the first time.

Quickspin’s Achievements Engine has been built into the slot offering six unique game events that reward players with Quickspin tokens when free spins or other features are triggered.

“Goldilocks and the Wild Bears was hugely popular when it was first released and, thanks to developments in HTML5 technology, it was an obvious step for us to give her and the game an enhanced look,” Quickspin chief executive officer, Daniel Lindberg, said.

“With improved graphics and the addition of our innovative Achievements Engine, we’re confident players will enjoy this latest version even more than the original.”

The relaunched HTML5 slot features multiplier wilds and free spins, triggered when the greedy golden girl taunts the bears and sends them wild.

In related news, the developer is scheduled to release ‘Fairy Gate’ in September, a magical fairy adventure introducing a troupe of different fairies, fairy orb Wilds and a magical tree.

The slot also integrates Quickspin’s Achievements Engine, generating tasks for players to complete within the 3×5 game for the award of tokens that can be cashed-in to gain access to game features.

Playtech Launch Dirty Dancing Slot

Iconic franchise expands in multi-jackpot game

Playtech, in a licensing collaboration with Lionsgate, has launched ‘Dirty Dancing’, a multi-jackpot progressive slot based on the iconic 1987 American romantic drama dance movie featuring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

The new slot remains true to the hit dance romance which was the first film to sell more than one million home videos when it was released in 1987 and celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

‘Dirty Dancing’ includes memorable scenes and audio from the movie while offering the opportunity to win a Johnny jackpot, Baby jackpot, a Dirty Dancing Jackpot Game, Whirling Wilds with up to six random wilds in any spin, dancing wilds stacked in free games, and up to 35 free games with expanding wilds.

Retro-style symbols include all the film’s main characters, dancing shoes, vinyl records, a classic 1950s sports car, and jewels that award a large pay out if players achieve three in a row and enter the Dirty Dancing Jackpot Game.

James Frendo, Casino Director, Playtech said:

“Dirty Dancing is such an iconic brand that it was an obvious choice for us to transform into a leading branded slot. The game is sure to be an instant hit with our licensees’ players both old and new.”

Peter Levin, President of Interactive Ventures and Games, Lionsgate, added:

“Thirty years after its arrival, the original ‘nobody puts Baby in a corner’ Dirty Dancing remains a deeply memorable classic that helped define a generation of cinema. We’re proud to work with great partners like Playtech to leverage our unique properties to connect with fans around the world.”

Infopowa news was a staple of Casinomeister’s news from 2000 until 2019. Brian Cullingworth was the main writer, contributor, and was one of the most knowledgeable persons I have ever known involved in the online casino industry.

We first met in January 2001 at the ICE in London where I observed him going booth to booth interviewing online casino, software, and licensing jurisdiction representatives. Brian was also heavily involved with our forum as “Jetset“, he was involved as an informal consultant to eCOGRA, the OPA, and was a player advocate who assisted countless aggrieved players with his connections to industry folks. He also published “Casino Cautions” via Infopowa news for quite a number of years. These can be found in our news archives.

His passing in February 2019 was a dark day for us. He will be forever missed.
