“Once again we are delivering a real mix of games to the market, distributing titles that will appeal to different audiences,” David Reynolds, Games Publisher at Microgaming, said.

“Having showcased the game [Castle Builder II] on Day 3 of ICE Totally Gaming, this eagerly-awaited game bridges the gap between online and social gaming.”

Castle Builder II goes live to operators on July 19, 2017.

Microgaming Sneak Peek Two Exciting Upcoming Releases

Oink Country Love and EmotiCoins

Microgaming has sneak-peeked two upcoming releases on its YouTube channel.

‘Oink Country Love’ is a farm-hoe-down-themed offer featuring Willie and Chancho, two pigs battling for Miss Southern Charm’s attentions in a banjo and fiddle playing showdown.

This five-reel, 45-payline slot offers a Barnyard Bash Free Spins feature, triggered by landing three or more golden ticket scatters on reels 2 and/or 3.  Players can win up to 80 free spins which are retriggerable.

Willy and Chancho serve as the Wild symbols, replacing all symbols except the Scatter.

‘EmotiCoins’ is another upbeat 5-reel, 30-payline slot featuring the popular emoticon/emoji-theme.

EmotiCoins was reportedly developed through a collaboration between Microgaming and Slingshot Studios.

Features include a randomly triggered Wild Blast feature where five extra Wilds appear on the reels for the next spin.  Landing three LOL scatters will trigger the Free Spins feature, in which 10 free spins are awarded.  Free spins 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 will see the Wild Stickers feature transform one symbol into a Sticky Wild.

Quickspin Debut Second Strike Slot In UK Retail

Across 7,700 Ladbrokes terminals

Swedish slots developer QuickSpin, owned by Playtech, has launched its ‘Second Strike’ slot game across 7,700 Ladbrokes UK retail terminals.

The omni-channel GBP 500, 10-payline jackpot slot game was developed in collaboration with Playtech’s Psiclone studio who specialises in retail game development.

Players need to match three, four or five adjacent symbols on a pay-line to win – the more matching symbols on a pay-line the bigger the prize.

Special features include ‘Bonus Track’, ‘Second Strike’ and ‘Super Second Strike’ affording players opportunity for additional prizes.

‘Bonus Track’ is a trail of symbols located around the outside of the reels which is activated on any win. Symbols that formed the reels win – except Wild symbols – are randomly lit on the ‘Bonus Track’ and a marker traverses the track in a clockwise motion. Landing on a dimmed symbol means ‘no win’, while landing on a lit symbol activates the ‘Second Strike’ feature.

Players are also able to opt for Mega Spins and are awarded a power up of five reel spins and ‘Wild Strike’, a bonus where a floating Wild symbol moves clockwise around the outside of the reels.

“Designing a game specifically for UK retail players, but equally making it available across all other channels is a first for us, but equally it has been a wonderful project and a challenge our team have risen to,” Daniel Lindberg, chief executive officer of Quickspin, said. “We’re really proud of Second Strike.

“The result is a high-quality game with superior gameplay and a series of incredible features which I’m very confident players will really enjoy.”

Terrestrial fav now available online

Greentube has launched an online version of Novomatic’s popular ‘Amazon’s Diamonds’ title, a 5-reel, 30-payline slot set in the Amazon Rainforest.

Four statuesque Amazon warriors will journey with players to seek out treasure chambers packed with diamonds.

The Amazon’s Diamond is presented as the Wild symbol that substitutes for all symbols of the game except the scattered Red Ball. The Scatter is also stacked and only lands on reels two to four. Seven to nine Scatters on reels two, three and four will trigger up to 30 free games.

Core Gaming’s Reels Of Fire Goes Live

Exclusively with Sky Vegas

Core Gaming’s ‘Reels of Fire’ is a new 3×5 slot with 20-paylines which has gone live exclusively with SkyBet.

This mythical Dragons and Wizards-themed game features a Free Spin bonus round and a “persistent” multiplier trail in the base game.

Wins are paid for matching some 2 of-a-kind and all 3, 4 or 5 of-a-kind symbols.

When players spin the reels, if a win is achieved on a winline, a multiplier is incremented by x1 up to x10 on a particular stake.  Multiplier increments can also decrease on losing spins.

An animated wizard may alter and modify a spin with one of three base game modifiers comprising a ‘Magic Multiplier modifier’, a ‘Rewind Modifier’ and a ‘Wild Wizard Modifier’.

If three bonus scatter symbols land on reels 1, 3 and 5, then the ‘Wild Furnace’ Free Spins feature is triggered.  The dragon will take the current base game multiplier into the feature. All wins achieved within Free Spins are multiplied by this multiplier.

Other features within the ‘Wild Furnace’ Free Spins feature include an ‘Ignite’ symbol trail at the bottom of the reels which is 15 stages long.

Major Jackpot Win At Slotplayer Online Casino

$315,124 jackpot for stay-at-home mom

The Slotland online casino has revealed that a stay-at-home mom hit a jackpot of $315,124 on one spin of the Open Season slot, achieving the largest pay out yet for the casino’s site-wide proprietary progressive jackpot.

Debra J., is a moderate player who challenges the slots online a few times a week, claims to have achieved some decent wins over the years… but nothing like this one.

“All the things I’ve dreamed of doing if I ever won like this!” she told casino management after receiving her big win.

“We’ll do some practical stuff, I guess, like put money aside for the kids, do some fixer uppers, pay some bills.  But then we’ll do some fun stuff too, like throw a party and spoil ourselves with some new goods. And I’d love to do a trip around the world!”

“I’m in total shock, even more so after being told it was a record win. It hasn’t fully sunk in yet. At first I didn’t couldn’t believe it but when Slotland told me it really happened my jaw dropped and I actually started dancing.”

“Open Season is one of my regular games but I try many before I stick to one or a few that seem to be paying.”

Open Season, which launched during Slotland’s 17th birthday celebrations last year, is a hunting-themed game featuring free spins and mystery cash bonuses.  Occasionally, a hunter appears on the screen and shoots at non-winning symbols on the reels, replacing one of them with Double Wild symbol.

“This anticipation of bigger wins gives players an incentive to keep spinning reels and progress through the game, with a multiplier increasing on each re-spin to boost their chances of winning big.”

Betsoft’s Next Game Has A Familiar Theme

Pre-release publicity suggests a fantasy Game of Thrones-like approach

Online gambling games developer BetSoft has taken the unusual step of issuing a statement outlining the back-story for its next big online slot release (believed to be scheduled for July 24).

The company has revealed that its new Fire and Steel slot will be based on a theme in which rival royal siblings go to war for the crown of a fantasy medieval nation following the assassination of the Queen. That has a sort of Game of Thrones ring to it, with characters like Shieldmaiden and Swordsman, who have magical powers.

Their long and bitter rivalry is brought to a halt by the arrival of fantastical Black Dragons which lay waste to both armies, forcing the survivors to come together to combat their formidable common enemy.

The game itself is multi-featured with sticky wilds, multipliers and free spins, and it is carried on BetSoft’s Shift platform, which uses the power of HTML5 technology to create smoother, high definition animations and more secure gameplay with drastically reduced file sizes.

With epic fantasy popular in current mainstream culture, BetSoft expects Fire and Steel will capture the imagination of players, leading to expanded game-play.

Infopowa news was a staple of Casinomeister’s news from 2000 until 2019. Brian Cullingworth was the main writer, contributor, and was one of the most knowledgeable persons I have ever known involved in the online casino industry.

We first met in January 2001 at the ICE in London where I observed him going booth to booth interviewing online casino, software, and licensing jurisdiction representatives. Brian was also heavily involved with our forum as “Jetset“, he was involved as an informal consultant to eCOGRA, the OPA, and was a player advocate who assisted countless aggrieved players with his connections to industry folks. He also published “Casino Cautions” via Infopowa news for quite a number of years. These can be found in our news archives.

His passing in February 2019 was a dark day for us. He will be forever missed.
