Multiple jurisdictions were represented at a regulator meeting held in Birmingham last week.
Topics under discussion included individual national markets, problem gambling detection, standardisation of regulatory frameworks, sports integrity, loot boxes, gambling advertising and skin betting as part of an information sharing initiative.
Regulators will meet next in the latter half of 2018 in Paris.
In related news, Italian regulatory authority, Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS), will launch a single National registry enabling consumers to self-exclude through the submission of a single, online form according to a presentation delivered by Daria Provvidenza Petralia, head of responsible remote gambling for AAMS, at a conference in Milan last week.
