MoPlay joins German Sports Betting Federation

Addison Global are pleased to have been accepted as a new member of the German Sports Betting Association (DSWV). The Gibraltar-based online sports betting operator, and its brand, MoPlay, were announced as a member yesterday by DSWV President Mathias Dahms.
Following the news, Mathias Dahms said: “We welcome MoPlay into our association and are delighted to have this international start-up, led by experienced managers from the iGaming sector, as a new and powerful member on board.”
Luka Andric, DSWV Managing Director, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome MoPlay as a new member of the German Sports Betting Association. Their expertise in mobile betting will be a huge asset in our discussions with political decision-makers and regulators.”
On a commercial level, MoPlay have already made their mark in Germany, having joined forces with Berlin-based Bundesliga football club Hertha BSC, a partnership which began in January 2019. And, this latest step shows a firm commitment to the German marketplace.
Chief Executive Officer, Juergen Reutter stated: “As a new member of the German Sports Betting Association, we’re deeply committed to Germany as a location and will contribute to the future sports betting regulation here. Our innovative product has a true mobile focus, and in combination with our fresh brand, will also be a huge growth driver in Germany.”

The German Sports Betting Association (DSWV) was founded in Berlin in 2014 by leading German and European sports betting operators and acts as public point of contact in particular for politicians, sports clubs and media.
All members hold licences in EU member states and strive for regulation and issuing of concessions for the German market. Since 2012, members have contributed more than €2bn in sports betting tax. Most members are also active sponsors in the professional German sports landscape.
