Microgaming Previews Sequel To Castle Builder Slot

By Brian Cullingworth, Last updated Mar 3, 2021

To launch in the second quarter of this year

Microgaming has previewed the Castle Builder II slot, a sequel to the blockbuster title of the same name launched in 2013 in partnership with RabCat.
Castle Builder II, a five reel, level-based slot, builds on the original game, which bridged online gaming and social gamification.
An entirely new world will feature in the sequel, with new unlockable achievements as players level up to build 75 castles from materials collected within 15 kingdoms. Players can choose from three avatars, each with a different storyline and a different feature set, who interact with over 300 characters within the game.
Extensive achievement and cup challenges encourage players progression as they improve their avatars skill level.
“We have had great success with Castle Builder, launching the game to over 80 operators worldwide, Thomas Schleischitz, chief executive officer and founder of RabCat explains. “The second instalment provides extended gameplay and high replay value by way of more kingdoms, more levels, and more achievements. By embracing the concept of unlocking content and continuous progression, the game encourages players to come back for more.”
Castle Builder II goes live to Microgaming and Quickfire operators on desktop and mobile in Q2 2017.
“We’ve been very excited about the launch of Castle Builder II, a game that is designed with gamification at the forefront and that successfully sends players on an adventure to build the finest of castles,” David Reynolds, Games Publisher at Microgaming said.
“With more characters, kingdoms and castles than its very popular predecessor, we anticipate this game to be a massive success. The focus has been to extend the game life cycle and keep players engaged as they embark on an epic adventure.”

Brian Cullingworth

Infopowa news was a staple of Casinomeister’s news from 2000 until 2019. Brian Cullingworth was the main writer, contributor, and was one of the most knowledgeable persons I have ever known involved in the online casino industry.

We first met in January 2001 at the ICE in London where I observed him going booth to booth interviewing online casino, software, and licensing jurisdiction representatives. Brian was also heavily involved with our forum as “Jetset“, he was involved as an informal consultant to eCOGRA, the OPA, and was a player advocate who assisted countless aggrieved players with his connections to industry folks. He also published “Casino Cautions” via Infopowa news for quite a number of years. These can be found in our news archives.

His passing in February 2019 was a dark day for us. He will be forever missed.
