Malaysian Victory In World Series Of Poker Europe High Roller

Ivan Leow earns Euro 1,251,455 after winning Euro 100,000 WSOPE Leon’s High Roller

Malaysian poker pro Ivan Leow walked away from the Euro 100,000 buy-in World Series of Poker Europe Leon’s High Roller competition Euro 1,251,455 wealthier this week after besting a field of 33 (including re-entries) at Kings Casino in Rozvandov, Czech Republic. It was Leon’s largest career cash yet.

The single day event attracted many of the world’s top players and was concluded in just nine hours.

When the final table stage was reached local poker pro Martin Kabrhel was in charge of most of the chips, a dominant position he managed to retain right through to the heads up against Leow.

Kabrhel held the chip advantage at the start of the heads up, but lost it in an ill-advised bluff, leading to a showdown two hands later where both players went all-in and the Malaysian emerged victorious, leaving Kabrhel with a second placing pay day of Euro 773,457

Other final table cashes included:

  • Michael Soyza Euro 521,471
  • Tony G Euro 351,579
  • Dominik Nitsche Euro 237,038
