M.g.m. To Launch Mobile Sports Betting

Partnership deal signed with GTech

MGM Resorts International is to partner with GTech in the launch of mobile on and off-premises gambling at 12 of its Nevada properties.
The major land casino operator has announced plans to add live in-play betting to MGM sports books, mobile sports wagering outside the properties and mobile casino games within properties.
The mobile technology will provide on-premises real-money mobile casino gambling within some MGM resorts, allowing customers to play on mobile devices anywhere inside a property, and will allow gamblers to place bets with MGM sports books 24/7 on their mobile phones, as long as they are within the state of Nevada.
Geo-location technology is being provided by GeoComply and will be integrated into the on-property mobile casino and sports book apps to verify a player's location before they are accepted.
GeoComply CEO Anna Sainsbury said Friday: "In-building geo-location has never been done before in this space. We have morphed our technologies used for Nevada poker and New Jersey into an on-property solution which can pinpoint the location of a player within a few feet."
The mobile sports betting field in Nevada is becoming increasingly competitive, with offerings from major companies like Boyd Gaming, CG Technologies, William Hill US, South Point and Station Casinos.
