Las Vegas Sands Websites Fully Restored

It's taken a week, but the damage has been repaired following a hacker attack

Ron Reese, a Las Vegas Sands group spokesman said Monday afternoon that the group's hacked websites have all been repaired and restored following a devastating attack a week ago reportedly motivated by the extreme foreign affairs opinions of owner Sheldon Adelson.

The sites went down on February 12 (see previous InfoPowa reports) after being defaced by hackers, who also embedded a scrolling feature revealing the personal information of employees.

The hacking affected Sands' corporate website, the sites for casinos in Pennsylvania and the Italian-themed Venetian and Palazzo on the Las Vegas Strip as well as casinos in China and Singapore.

Investigations by the FBI are continuing.
