Union of European Football Associations-oriented ads start this weekend
Clearly with its eye on the upcoming Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Euro 2016 championship, online and land bookmaking firm Ladbrokes will this weekend launch a new series of television adverts with a mobile bias.
The campaign features former England professional footballer, manager and now presenter Chris 'Kammy' Kamara and Scottish football legend Ally McCoist in a comedic parody of the world of football commentary, set as a background to a mobile punter.
Crafted by The Moment agency and starting on UK television channels, the campaign will ultimately extend into Europe as the championship peaks. Later ads in the series will include an appearance by former top jockey Frankie Dettori.
Ladbrokes marketing head Kristof Fahy explained the emphasis on mobile, saying in a statement:
"Betting In-Play is a key area of growth for our business so we're celebrating the product experience and positioning ourselves as a trusted favourite for recreational bettors.
"Kammy is a well-loved character of the football world so it's great to have him back at the centre of our ad campaign, and Ally adds humour and recognition from our wide Scottish audience.
"The tone of the ad is fun and entertaining to engage our target audience."
