Illegal Casino Busted Near Athens

65-year-old owner converted his cafe into a concealed live and online gambling establishment

Greek police in Kallithea, a small town south of central Athens, have shuttered a concealed gambling venue located in a cafe, according to reports Wednesday in the newspaper Ekathimerini.
During the investigation police arrested a 65-year-old man believed to be the owner, and seized 57 computers, three servers, a roulette wheel connected to six touch screens, a television, recording devices and six CCTV cameras. Cannabis and cash was also found on the premises.
Police spokesmen said that the establishment was concealed in a sophisticated manner, with a secure side door entrance that was remotely opened by an employee inside, while closed-circuit TV cameras monitored the exterior of the building.
