Gukpt Main Event Breaks Records

Biggest ever GUKPT prize pool and entry field

The Season 9 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) final event, which played out at the Grosvenor Casino Victoria, broke records with an entry field of 321 and a prize pool of GBP 642,000, far exceeding the GBP 400,000 expectation.
Kent resident Ben Winsor emerged victorious defeating Alex Zervos in heads-up play. Winsor also joins GUKPT's two time winners club having won the fifth leg of GUKPT Season 8 in Walsall.
Even sweeter is 27-year-old Winsor won his seat to the GBP 2,215 Main Event for GBP 120 via a live satellite, a pretty impressive return on investment considering he pocketed GBP 178,600 for his trouble.
GUKPT Grand Final Results finished up:
1 GBP 178,600 — Ben Winsor
2 GBP 118,100 — Alex Zervos
3 GBP 72,500 — James Akenhead
4 GBP 46,300 — Patrick Frew
5 GBP 31,400 — Ronaldo Amirahiri
6 GBP 23,100 — Simon Deadman
