Gtech In New Agreement With Mgm Resorts

Revamped sports betting and a mobile on-premises offer

Long-standing GTECH client MGM Resorts International has agreed a deal for GTECH's OnPremise mobile sports betting and casino gaming, marking GTECH's first foray into on-premise mobile gaming in the U.S.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, GTECH will provide enhanced sports betting technology at 12 MGM Resorts properties and GTECH OnPremise TM mobile Sports Betting and Casino gaming at 10 MGM Resorts in Nevada.

The project is expected to begin a phased deployment during the third quarter of 2015, the company said.

MGM Sports' offering will be enhanced by live in-play betting and mobile sports betting for customers in the State of Nevada.

Real-money on-premise mobile casino and slots will be launched for players present within an MGM property utilising their own smartphone or tablets.

Both products will be combined into a single mobile app and linked to the players' MGM Resorts M life loyalty club membership.

"This Sports Betting solution will allow MGM to capitalize on a new system with a single trading management interface, which could help improve global profitability across all sales channels," said Ludovico Calvi, GTECH Head of Betting.
