Gtech Clinches 10-year Belgian Lotto Deal

Transitions from existing contract to new IT services model

GTECH S.p.A. subsidiary Gtech Global Services Corporation has been awarded a 10-year online gaming system, terminals and integration contract to provide end-to-end services for the National Lottery of Belgium (NLB) following a competitive procurement process.

Gtech will provide the NLB with secure gaming technology, performance driven services, and an integrated business environment.

"This award is significant for Gtech as it allows us to build upon the existing relationship with the Belgian National Lottery which dates back to 1993 when we deployed the Lottery's first gaming system," said Gtech International President and chief executive officer Walter Bugno. "Working together with the Lottery, we have created customer-focused innovations and new games, and, as a partner, we have gained a deep understanding of the Belgian marketplace as it exists today, and determined what the right path is for the future."

The company expects to earn approximately Euro 125 million in revenues over the 10-year term.
