Massive 6,385 entries – 4022 unique players
Grosvenor Casinos Goliath Main Event once again broke the record as the largest live poker tournament outside of Las Vegas.
Overall entries reached a record 6,385, of which 4,022 were unique players, generating a massive prize pool of GBP 638,500 on a buy-in of GBP 120.
But it was Elliot Marais, a 34-year-old bricklayer from Scunthorpe, who took the first prize of GBP 85,760 after he outplayed popular Birmingham player Tai Hoang heads up.
Final table results were:
1 Elliot Marais, GBP 85,760
