Germany to Vote on State Treaty on Gambling

Germany is all set to vote on the Third State Treaty on Gambling, with the meeting between the heads of all 16 German Federal States is set to take place on March 21st. If passed, this will see the experimental online and offline sports betting licenses being issued from 30 June 2019 to 30 June 2021.
There is also the possibility of this being extended to 2024. In addition, this treaty if it comes into law, will allow for the quota system for online and offline sports betting licenses to be more than the proposed 20 license limit, which has already been mooted.
Unfortunately the treaty only covers online and offline sports betting, with there being no provision for online casinos.
