French Online Poker Operator Launches Dealer's Choice

Winamax pioneers online restricted Dealer's Choice action in the French market

The Dealer's Choice in poker format is not a new concept, but Winamax enlivened the French online poker scene by introducing it last week, taking advantage of looser game restrictions by the French regulator ARJEL.
The regulator recently allowed operators to expand their selection of games more broadly than the historical Hold'em and four-card Omaha, opening the possibilities for Dealer's Choice.
Winamax quickly responded by launching a real money DC product restricted to four variants – NLHE, four card pot limit Omaha, five card pot limit Omaha, and Omaha hi lo.
Simply put, DC involves the player on the button choosing which genre of poker is to be played over the next orbit.
The Dealer's Choice format has been around for a number of years and has proved popular with recreational players especially, who like the diversity it offers and the challenge to their poker knowledge and capabilities.
Professionals have also taken a shine to the format, which has been featured at the World Series of Poker and offers increased scope and interest.
Industry observers believe that Winamax is the first to offer this popular option online to its players; certainly in the French market its main rival Pokerstars has not yet made a move in this direction.
