Casinomeister Annual Awards 2018 Released

Interesting insights from a player perspective

Respected player advocate Casinomeister (CM) has released its much anticipated Annual Casinomeister Awards 2018, naming the best and the worst the industry has to offer since 2001.

Best Casino 2018 was awarded to Trada Casino and Videoslots, an unprecedented, bona fide tie, CM said.

Worst Casino 2018 went to Curacao-licensed Osiris Casino, who CM describes as about as rogue as a casino can get.

The Best Casino Group was awarded L&L Europe Group who did not receive a single player complaint over the year, while the Worst Casino Group award went to Curacao-licensed Alpha Interactive Group who CM claims welcomes self-excluded players “with open arms”.

Other ‘Best of’ award categories for 2018 include:

  • Best New Casino – Fun Casino
  • Best Customer Service Award – Trada Casino
  • Best Casino Manager 2018 – Rachel Morgan, Trada Casino
  • Best Player Experience Award – Rizk Casino’s Office Visit Promotion: Be a Managing Director for a Day.
  • Best Gaming Experience – VideoSlots, for the fourth consecutive year.
  • Best Casino Software Experience – Blueprint Gaming’s ‘Napoleon – Rise of An Empire’.
  • Ted Loh Humanitarian Award 2018 – Christine Marrah (Bonustreak) – for her work with Team Rubicon.
  • The Phoenix Award 2018 – bwin for their proactive change of policy for progressive jackpot payments.

Here is the full list of best and worst awards, along with the reasoning behind them.

Infopowa news was a staple of Casinomeister’s news from 2000 until 2019. Brian Cullingworth was the main writer, contributor, and was one of the most knowledgeable persons I have ever known involved in the online casino industry.

We first met in January 2001 at the ICE in London where I observed him going booth to booth interviewing online casino, software, and licensing jurisdiction representatives. Brian was also heavily involved with our forum as “Jetset“, he was involved as an informal consultant to eCOGRA, the OPA, and was a player advocate who assisted countless aggrieved players with his connections to industry folks. He also published “Casino Cautions” via Infopowa news for quite a number of years. These can be found in our news archives.

His passing in February 2019 was a dark day for us. He will be forever missed.
