Winner wisely remains anonymous
UK National Lottery organisers, Camelot, have confirmed the pay out of its biggest single lotto jackpot win in history.
The winner, who prudently chose to remain anonymous, won the staggering amount of GBP 35,133,888 as the single ticket holder matching the six numbers drawn on April 6, 2016.
The win, just tops a record jackpot of GBP 66 million earlier this year which was claimed and split by two lucky ticket holders.
The lucky punter and new record holder gets to enjoy the full GBP 35.1 million as UK lotto wins are tax exempt unlike the United States of America where winnings are subject to a 40 percent tax.
