7Casino to leave the UK

Another UK licensed online casino has  decided  to call in their chips, with the news this morning that 7Casino is closing its doors to the UK market as from Monday 22nd June. In announcement sent out to their affiliate partners, BGO Buddies who are responsible  for the marketing of 7Casino sent out the following communication:

“Hey buddy,

We would like to highlight some changes that will be taking place on 7casino.

7casino will shift its marketing strategy to focus on International markets. As a result, we will stop accepting new UK customers as of Monday 22nd June

What will be removed:

• UK Welcome Bonus
• The casino will no longer accept players from the UK
• Existing UK players will no longer be able to login and play.

For the time being, you can promote the 7casino Canada Welcome Bonus (see below). But keep your eyes peeled, we’ll soon launch new and exciting welcome offers!”

This news comes just a few days after Bethard also announced that they would be leaving the UK and follows that of the report the APPG released earlier this  week after their  year long inquiry into preventing gambling harm.

Certainly  if some of their recommendations come into being, such as the £2 maximum bet limit on all online slot games, expect many more operators to exit stage left  as far as the UK is concerned.
