The Belfast Telegraph is reporting this morning that the award winning online casino 32Red, have reimbursed a company nearly £600,000 that was stolen by an employee, who then subsequently used the stolen monies to fund her playing at 32Red.
The Crown Court in Derry heard that S3 Alliance employee Tracey Curran, pleaded guilty to a total of six charges of fraud by false representation, that involved Curran using company credit cards to withdraw the money between January 2016 and April 2017. The monies involved were used to fund Curran’s playing at 32Red, which were in turn lost whilst gambling at the online casino.
The Public Prosecution Barrister in the case confirmed that 32Red has returned the vast amount of money to S3 Alliance, as by way of a gratuity. The defence counsel in the case also confirmed that accountants have been engaged to ascertain whether all money had been reimbursed to the company in question.
The case against Curran has been adjourned until 29th November, with a plea hearing set to take place on 20th December.
