Question Your biggest bet by accident?

Agreed!

Another 'wonder' is why Raging Rhino and Montezuma open at 0.40p and 0.30p bets respectively at pretty much most sites, yet at Leo Vegas they both open at £1.20 bets :what:

Same at Sky and Grosvenor.

Enforced Responsible Gambling is outright arse. Taking away choices from the paying customer on how they can spend their money....

Same with default bet sizes upon load-up. It's an obvious ploy used to encourage mistakes and high bets, but this never gets mentioned in any RG guidelines because, you know, the software is to blame or can't be re-coded (bullshit of course).

I haven't fallen foul of this snare but have come close a couple of times with the accidental betting, mainly due to being way too careful before proceeding. In ye olden days I may have treaded water a couple of times with my manual- spinning escapades, namely after eight hours straight in the early hours and finding the margins of error smaller when you can't see straight

The way this namby- pamby bollocks is going we'll soon find that the UKGC will remove responsible gambling altogether. It'll be called 'Responsible'

I've bet by accident at least 20 times+ over the years slot bets ranging from $50 to $125 per spin. Not once have I won more than double my stake. I'm sure it will happen again and when it does it would be nice to hit the free spins.

I have never seen this happen before. I was playing at Mr. Green Game of Thrones just now and I triggered the free spins on min bet. After the spins were done, I didnt notice but it changed the bet to max. I have never seen this before at any other site. I am so pissed off. All my winnings were gone in about 6 spins. Why in the hell would it change to max bet if I was only playing min***.:mad::mad:

Don it a few times...playing $ 50 @ spin by mistake. Went to live chat, but they would not give the money back....arggg

But the other day it happend again playing Zeuz 3...suppose to bet $ 1.20 but made mistake so was betting $ 120...I was lucky because I made a withdraw for just about $ 350, uhhhh, I hate it when this happens....

I almost bet $100 on Rigdrassil's Golden Fish Tank. Trying to add the extra bet on a tablet and I touched the max bet button. Fortunately, it didn't spin. Yggdrassil needs to put that extra bet button somewhere else.

I once played Cats Royal and my internet went down at some point. I tried to press Spin button but nothing happend but my internet connection switched on exactly when I clicked on Max Bet button. Lost 100$ on that spin but learned a good lesson :)

Done this a few times on various slots. The worst one was £160 spin on some sportingbet "gangster" themed slot I cant remember what its called.

Never had a win on any accidental max bet yet.

Seems a lot of people make this mis-click, and it must pi$$ the player off so why dont casinos change it? Surely they dont need a VERY occasional 5% house edge of a big bet that could send a punter off in a huff never to return? And from the casino's side if that mis-click results in a huge win, the player will 99% of the time withdraw it as they are not a high roller and will hit and run with their "jackpot". I actually think it costs them overall I really do.

I had £100 credit and I let my son ( adult) play a game as he's never really played slots before so he played fishing frenzy Big Splash I told him to do 10p 20p all was going well until five spins later he tells me he actually gently did an £100 spin you hit the max spin button as you can imagine I was absolutely guttered lol balance destroyed!!

@kevinhoot I gotta ask, when you said "he actually gently" did you mean to say 'accidently' ? Makes a bit more sense to me,and rhymes with what you put lol :D
Anyway, i know the feel, i lost about £100 because a friend who, like yours, was new to slots and was using my account while i wrapped a doobie, where he began spinning £30 spins of my balance instead of 30p that i requested.
Was only on the 5th or 6th spin i realized that he shouldnt be paid 17.5 bucks for a small 3 of a kind, despite his apparent joy at such a big return for what he thought was 30p spins, feeling like he was making me some money.
I was gutted too,, but was also lucky i noticed the balance flying down before he done my entire poker bankroll lol

Only 8 years late but here goes…

Had a balance of £80.00 that I’d worked up from £50.00 doing £0.20 spins. Opened a new slot and set the bet to £0.20. Accidentally clicked the MAX BET button as I swiped the mouse pointer over it on the way to the spin button (using a touch pad). Didn’t notice until my one losing spin decimated my balance, leaving me with only £10.00.

Bit late into this one too, but ive been fairly lucky in this sense and only once (from memory) doing a £2 spin on BOD 4-5 years ago, which paid and I ended up a few quid up on what I started.

My mum played on a book game a couple months or so ago, loaded it up, was half watching something on tv and playing at the same time, but hadn't realised she'd moved/clicked on her laptops pad and hit max bet, and hadn't realised , wiping her £50 balance out in a single spin when she hit the spin button. Realised seconds later when she got the usual 'no balance/funds' related message.

lol i did I did sorry for the misspelling I need to read it before I post next time thank you for spotting it yes I felt sick as a dog when he did it

Every time a Blueprint errors out and needs reloading, which happens a lot, it sets the stake back to the default NOK 10.0 so that's a frequent one : I forget or don't notice, put on 100 autospins and go do something else - pretty disastrous when you don't have the balance for it.

But the worst one yet is Spinomenal - Whacky Monkey. Their slots sometimes display the wins weirdly, like 3 decimals, so when I set the stake by clicking the minus button all the way down, I got to 1,440 and assumed it was the minimal. It wasn't. It was the maximum. The worst part is that the first spin paid 2x but I still didn't notice and did a couple of more spins and then was out of balance.

My biggest by-mistake bets were on roulette... something like 3k a bet. Before the game started, in a rush to get my bet on, I just missed out that my chips were set to £100 instead of £1, and in two clicks on neighbor numbers, all my balance was gone... But there were also times when i did the same and won.

But somewhere in 2007, when i played an online slot for the very first time, i didn't have a clue what all those buttons do, and i hit a max bet button at £40 and the bonus game landed, and paid around £1.5k. This is how my online "journey" then started...
