Since you all like looking into new MG licensees. They have very familiar graphics

Still no new US registrations yet they use a very well known US city in the name

Woops.. not so new.. this one came about in late 2008

Old Chicago launches with a full gaming suite

Today in CAP gaming news:

September 11, 2008 (InfoPowa News) -- The newest online casino to appear on the market this week is powered by the Isle of Man-based Internet gambling software and games provider Microgaming and carries Malta LGA licensing.

Old Chicago Casino.com has all the usual attributes of MGS operations, featuring multi-currency transactions, full support, banking and loyalty program facilities, and a gambling suite that consists of literally hundreds of Flash and download games, including 20 progressives, 200 slots, 50 VP offerings, and a wide range of tournaments.

The site is owned by a Malta-based company Webbet Limited and is currently offering a matchplay sign-up maxed at 100 in diverse currencies.

Check the date - that item dates back to September 2008.

Old Chicago casino itself dates back to before this though, and was still MGS powered. It was run by the MiniVegas group, although did not seem to be actively promoted. My attention was drawn to it as it featured in the infamous "illegitimate play" episode in the summer of 2006, where there was a "mass confiscation" of winings, even from a few player who did NOT take a bonus:confused: (Hence the "illegitimate play", as opposed to the usual "bonus abuse")

Uh oh, does this mean it's not a place to become a new member at then? - I was considering trying it out...without taking a bonus.

I don't know really, as it is now run by Webbet. If you trust Webbet, you can trust the casino. The confusion is what happened to all the old accounts. Old Chicago had a relatively small player base, but presumably these players are still on the system. When MGS casinos I have accounts have changed hands, I have always retained my existing account, and the new owners have simply taken it over.
