I always like to reflect on the year past, and I thought I would recap some of the brighter moments. I've had a hard year for a number of reasons, but there have definitely been some bright points.

January

First payout from an online casino...exactly equal to my New Year Eve's deposit, but in my account Jan 2 from Riverbelle...remember good old ACH?

Lot's of snow, but very mild temperatures, so heating bills were manageable.

A memory foam mattress!!

February

First substantial cashout, from Phoenician casino. Courierred cheque for just over 1K, received in days after cashout.

Survived first Valentine's Day without my beloved, thanks to my wonderful tenant and friend whose boyfriend was working out of town. We had a lovely time with cheese fondue and champagne.

April

My tulips are out. Cut flowers in the house every day.

Went to Rama with two free nights after Aretha Franklin had cancelled. Although the slots were mean, it was a restful solo getaway

May

Day trip to Rama with my friend Cindy to see Jeff Foxworthy. The casino is so busy we hardly have any time to lose any money between lunch, concert and lineups.

Daytrip by bus to Casino du Lac Leamy to see the tulips.

Springtime, and my broken rib has finally healed up. Lilacs out in bloom. Cut flowers in the house every day. A surgical date is set, I'm feeling like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

CM introduces Blogs, and I begin my recipe sharing.

Joined 3Dice.

June

My first withdrawal from 3Dice of 1K...bankwire received in a few days.

The peonies are out in bloom. Bushes are just a few years old, my first year to cut blooms. Fresh flowers in the house everyday.

The Irises are out. The look magnificent in the great gold-leafed vase I bought for $5 just after Xmas last year.

I find out I am to be a grandma:):):):)

My mother's summer roses (pink) have recovered from my nearly killing them two years ago. More flowers floating in bowls.

My birthday. Great roadtrip with my galpal Shelly to Rama to see Stevie Nicks. Treated very well by VIP at the casino including a lovely meal at the Steakhouse. Just a few days before surgery, and I was hurting. But I am a game gal always, and got up near stage, even though I could barely move, and had to keep sitting down to rest. Stevie Nicks was hurting too, she pretty much didn't move during the show. But near the end, the truss was gone, and she got a shot of something and moved some. Marched over to my end of the stage and made her stage manager have people move over so I could get forward to shake hands. I mouthed "you hurt", she mouthed (or said) "you know".

Actually birthday, we are leaving Rama with some money in our pockets, all my gambling budget in fact, after drinks and tips, but not counting gas and hotel. VIP kind enough to comp for takeout lunch (something they do not usually do) as we need to hit the road.

Stop at the Blue Heron Charity Casino in Port Perry, Ontario on the way home. Hit a third level progressive on a 2cent machine, and come home $250 ahead from my trip, including my gas and hotel costs.

The little yellow minature rose bush is in full bloom...more cut flowers.

I have my long awaited surgery. Wake in a room, not in ICU and on a ventilator as expected.

July

Great view of the Canada Day fireworks from my hospital bed. Discharged from hospital, despite an untreated complication and an uncaring surgeon. It is good to be home. The morning glories are prolific, and my mother's roses and the minature yellow roses continue to bloom. My roomie cuts the flowers for me, and tends to the gardens.

Get cleared to have a bath or go swimming. Get to a lake and sit with my feet in the water, and then a few strokes in a pool.

Hit the Mini on Superfive at 3Dice for a cool $1,649. Cashout of 1.5K by bankwire in just days.

The cavalier surgeon's "Oh well, if something is wrong, you'll get sicker" proves true. The complication is finally diagnosed and a nephrostomy tube is inserted, so I can stop peeing out my arse every few minutes, and I get some sleep again.

August

Back home after latest hospital stay.

The yellow roses continue to produce, and the morning glories have completely engulfed the sculpture they were planted around. We nickname it "Cousin It" and now the peppers and tomatoes are coming on.

Kingston has it's Limestone City Blues Festival. Not well enough to get out to much of it, but caught a little bit, and watched a bunch of videos from it.

Monster hit on Industria at 3Dice, and a cool over 2K cashout. My first online win that big, and my third biggest ever.

September

Went to see the Barenaked Ladies at Casino Rama with girlfriends. Two night stay (one comp, one paid for) and lots of good food and a great show. It was the week following Ed Robertson's plane crash, and the night before the show he was arriving with his luggage when we were going to our room. My buddy Cindy asked "Going up Ed?" as he pushed the elevator button, to which he replied "Yeah, I've already gone down this week":lolup: One of Cindy's highlights from our visit.

Attended an ultrasound with my daughter and her fella. First baby pictures :). Amazing how the technology has advanced in the last quarter century. It's a Boy

More tomatoes than I can eat. Bacon and tomato sandwiches. Still the little yellow roses bloom.

Eggplants are now ready. Manage to make a moussaka and have friends over for dinner.

October

That little yellow rosebush just keeps blooming. It was one of those mini potted roses bought at the supermarket the summer before. We have great weather and the peppers are finally turning red. Dozens of hot peppers, too hot to eat, so they go to my roomies boyfriend to make hot pepper sauce.

Get out for a fall colour drive. The maples are so beautiful when changing, I truly live in a beautiful part of the world. Magnificent red oaks and graceful yellow birches and golden elms, and the Canadian geese are migrating.

Halloween. Had a wonderful time at 3Dice's halloween bash, appearing as "Jamie Lee Flirtus".

November

Another roadtrip to Rama, this time to see Roger Hodgson, formerly of Supertramp, followed by Dolly Parton the second night of our stay. Both were super shows, although we stayed at a nearby hotel because Rama was super expensive that weekend.

Joined the Pissed Off Club. Surprisingly not very pissed off folks for a club named that.:D

Acheived my first ND cashout from VegasSky. My first request for identity documents went smoothly.;)

December

My dog is right happy there is snow. Glad someone is.

A CT scan shows that there is enough recovery from the first surgery to perform corrective surgery. Another surgeon has been brought on board also, and I am waiting for further appointments, tests and hopefully a surgical date not too far into next year.

Some time spent with family and friends over the Xmas season. Chocolate covered cherries .

My dog turns twelve, and still enjoys great health. Happy birthday Pal.

Avatar appears as a munchin in Cynthial's wonderful "Off to See the Meister" video. I feel like a star!! At less than 5 feet tall, I am a real life munchin.

Still to come...New Year's Eve and a bottle of Frexinet Cordon Negro (a Spanish sparkling wine made in the champagne method).

I hope that all of you at Meister had a great year too. And there is a New Year just around the corner, and I hope it is even better

First time in years I enjoyed both Thanksgiving and Christmas with inlaws

Although we lost Vinny, we got to save another cat

I lost 9 pounds and worked out this year for the first time in 2 years

I won more than I lost at the Tropicana and had some nice trips there

Although had a dry spell at online, still ended up a little ahead at 3dice

I enjoyed my time in here at casinomeister as well as 3dice

I found an RTG this year that I actually like (slots oasis)

Noone in my family died (first year in over 5 consecutive years) Plus, everyone in my family is healthy and happy on top of it:)

My neice moved just a couple hour drive away

Reached my 10 year N/A chip (aug 16th 1998 was the day that my life became managable again)

Happy New Year to you as well Jasminebed and to all fellow forum members.
