I am now finally getting on top of all the daily, persistent spam e-mails by blocking messages/senders and sending straight to trash. However, I have just received a telephone call at 12.10am from Casino Dukes. Seriously? My kids in bed, wife just gone to bed and me wanting a few minutes quiet time. I ignored the first call (while Googling the number) and then within seconds of that call ending, they called again. Their number is now blocked. E-mail now sent politely informing them not to call again!

Oh, and my bin got lined with postal spam from a casino I have closed accounts with in the same group.

Does anyone else get cheesed off with constant spam?

Do casinos actively pass on your details and how do all these trashy looking places get my details? Apologies, but it really is pissing me off!

I don't think a casino itself pass the customer's information to somebody else if the casino is a solid one, I think it is normally one of the employee is doing that for extra cash. People's personal information-email address, phone number etc are being sold for money.

Anyway, it's not just a casino who gets your information. If you ever signed up on one of the rogue casino, you get the phone call from international scammers. They want you to invest your money to them.

I used to get a lot of phone call from them, because I have signed up on a couple of rogue casino very long time ago. I think the casino sold my information or that rogue casino is running the international scam itself.

I loath those calls. It's lazy, stupid, and intrusive. Yeah, I may have a German number - but I might be in San Francisco, and it's three in the morning. That was King Neptune's.

Someone from Betsson called me once wondering why I hadn't deposited lately. I told him my account was a test account so I could write a review about their site. He thanked me, wished me a good day, and hung up.

Until about 6 months ago I got daily calls from Dukes and a number of other associated casino's which lasted a good few months. All of these where automated messages that sounded like the same man with a deep feck of Barry White style voice "You already have this bonus in your account, but it will only last 24 hours...." Blocking the number on my phone did not stop it.
Eventually they seemed to just move on.My presumption is that signing into any one of their casino's may trigger the calls once more.

I think that is what prompted it - I signed in after a little while without using them and once logged out, the calls came through. Thankfully my phone was near me and I could quickly Google the number, however, if the phone was in the bedroom, my wife would have been mightily upset (which would mean no deposit there, Goatwack!:( ) that firstly she was disturbed at a silly time and secondly, that I may have perhaps frequented a casino site :p !

I'll have to remember and use that one if ever caught! Cheers!!

Makes me wonder how many 'other halves' are blissfully unaware of their partner's casino habits! I know my wife thinks I don't play them anymore :p

It's more like my daughters who seem to think if I can afford to gamble then I can afford to fund them even more.

And how dare I buy chocolate with nuts in when they both hate nuts!

Calls like these are the worst.

Gambling is a tabu in many parts of the world, and to get a call from a casino while at work or in a family get togheter for instance would be embarrassing for many.

What I have seen a rise of lately is SMS-spam. And that is the absolute worst if you ask me. I get casino spam almost daily these days, and there doesn't seem to be a way to block them on my android phone.
