I'm not a prude, in fact I'm so far removed from being prudish.

However when I see stuff published and used by Calvin Ayre such this below, it makes my skin crawl and I shake my head is disgusted disbelief.

Sensationalistic news is one thing...but using underage sex as a line to promote the upcoming WSOP in South Africa is bad taste and unprofessional.

I'm sure Emerald Resort and Casino in South Africa much like the World Series of Poker would be thrilled having their Brand connected to a news story that makes a joke about underage sex.

Who writes this crap! Worse who approves it?

I wonder if Calvin is a Father or Uncle of a Teenage girl ? I really find it tacky, when children are brought into the promotion of gambling, piss poor judgement on who ever came up with that line imo.

Regardless of specific country laws relating to sexual consent age, they are still classified as children not Adults.

I just looked up the age of consent in European Countries and I'm shocked.

Porn/sex and gambling are generally recognised as rescission beaters. Plus the Poker world seems more at ease with associating porn and gambling together.

Also noting Vegas is well known for its scantily clothed showgirls but they are not schoolgirls or are they going all the way.

It's the choice of the schoolgirl catch line that's wrong in so many ways imo.

Hardly surprising, no wonder all their clergy think going there is a good "bolthole" when their conduct has been brought into question

The Vatican should know better than to leave this on their statute books, and should at least make it 16, as it is in many other countries.

Who knows, but many theologists believe that the mother of Jesus was probably about 14 when she became pregnant. That was the average age of young wives back then.

But 12?? Bunch of whackos.

Well, back in Jesus days people didn't have much of a lifespan either, so 14 was a lot older than now if you go by what portion of a life time 14 years represents.

That is totally different today. Like comparing oranges and apples.

Actually back then, people's lifespans weren't all that short if you don't average in the "death during child birth" stats for both mother and child. A fourteen year old was still a fourteen year old back in Biblical times.
