Savvy gambling executive will help develop online gambling platform for DGH

A press release from Standard Newswire this week announced the appointment of Robert Daily, former World Series of Poker Tournament and Events Director at Harrah's to the DG Holdings board, leading the companys online gaming platform division.

DGH is a privately-held, international investment group with offices in Europe, Asia Pacific and South East Asia. The DGH gaming division was formed more than four years ago to develop a state-of-the-art gaming platform that enables fully-integrated, on-line gaming operations.

Daily leaves Harrahs after 11 years in top management jobs. During his tenure, he served as the 2005 WSOP Event Manager and 2006 WSOP Tournament Director, receiving the prestigious 2007 Chairmans Award for his efforts.

I have greatly enjoyed my years with Harrahs, and especially the World Series of Poker, said Daily, who was again appointed as the upcoming 2007 WSOP Event Director before announcing his departure.

I have every confidence this years WSOP will run smoothly and efficiently and if I did not feel strongly that the tournament was ready, I would not have left at this time.

After my resignation, DGH approached me to join their group as a board member to provide leadership to their online gaming platform especially poker and I couldnt pass up the opportunity. I have made many great friends within the poker industry and I look forward to working with them in the future from a different perspective.

Weve had our eye on the industrys Poker Czar for some time. Bob is the perfect person to provide our board with the needed gaming insight and to lead our online gaming initiative into the future, said a DGH company spokesperson. With the launch of our first licensed poker site next month, we feel the timing of his appointment and this announcement could not be more perfect.
