WMS removed from alot of countries

So first i noticed WMS disapeared at Unibet. Now it is gone from all casinos for Norwegian players!
Aparantly Williams have updated their restricted countries and i will not be available again

Why oh why would they do this to us? I love their slots

It seems they blocked all countries where gamling is illegal like Norway. If all providers will act like them there would be only Norsk Tipping left and they got boring games!

they got hard blocked for Australia 4 months ago such a shame we can legally gamble online and theres like no wms land machines i think wms have shared software or deal with igt. our land rtp for my state is 84 per cent such a joke.

According to Vera&John Williams has added the following countries to the restricted-list (as of December 30):

Brazil, Suriname, Peru, Germany, Chile, Åland, Austria, Norway, Czech Republic, Greece.

In Canada it's a different reason. I live in the province of Quebec and gambling is under the control of loto-quebec runned by the governement. The only place you can find WMS slots online is on their website espacejeux. There is some WMS slots machine in local casinos too. I don't think a provider would risk this contract by offering their games to websites that the government consider "illegal". It is pretty much the same thing with IGT here... You can find them in bars and at casinos but there is no way you can access these games online in you are a canadian resident unless you are willing to play on espacejeux... I believe there are some different sites for the other provinces in Canada.

Unfortunately, this online mess is terrible... Deposits are nearly impossible unless you have a personal credit card that is accepted... 80% of them arent... You can wire money to deposit... But almost every bank won't do bank transfers to a gambling website... Even if its the governement... It's been running for years and nothing improved at all... The customer support is the worst... Incompetent at best

I really like the WMS Zeus style slots.
Strangely, in Australia we can't play WMS slots online but we have them in our land based casinos.
I'm not too sure why this is but it is to the land based casinos' advantage as they offer the only place to play WMS slots.
I have asked online casinos why this is and all that they tell me is that it's because of WMS.

That's not true. Austalians have never been able to play WMS slots online. We can't even play Aristocrat slots online and Aristocrat are an Australian company.

As far as I'm aware minimum RTP for all slots in the country is 87.5% but there are some rare exceptions for old machines. I could be wrong about that because I am only really familiar with the rules in my state. I understand that rules may differ from state to state.

All these restrictions make a mockery of the original intent of internet commerce, but they also open the door to counterfeit games because all legal alternatives have been removed. It's very hard to block counterfeit games being offered by an unlicensed and unregulated casino in some jurisdiction that doesn't really give a damn about it. If on top of this all legal alternatives are blocked, the ONLY place that people will be able to find working versions of the games they are after will be the counterfeits on offer. Since they can't play the genuine article, they will not be able to spot the counterfeit as easily, unless it's so badly done that it's obvious.

The same goes for music and movies. Blocking all legal alternatives for digital music in the early days created the big problem the industry then had to tackle, and are still tackling now. Blocking movies from everywhere but America meant that the rest of the world had only pirate sources as the legal sources were restricted to the USA. The issue with movies precedes the internet as they deliberately "crippled" the DVD media and DVD players to ensure movies were blocked outside of the USA. The first "piracy" was not digital, it was "gaffed" firmware DVD players that would play "any region" DVD media, or which could be set to region 1 for all US releases.

They didn't have Montzuma, they had a handful of other WMS slots though.

IT is so frustrating that the legal options always are worse! Gambling and movies.. Luckily it is not like that for music and computer games anymore thanks to Spotify and steam

After the first deposit they called me to say that they closed my account because transactions with gambling website are not tolerated. How fu$:!:!:$;_ing stupid is that? Since this incident... No thank you.. There is dumb... And there is espacejeux...

That's crazy, I have had no issues with RBC depositing, I just went to Escape Jeux site, its pretty much the same as Playnow, BC Lotteries site, government regulated.
