I requested a withdrawal at a well known casino, surprised to get the ditty verification tactic.

Sent all my ID, so they picked up my photo ID was a couple of days out of date.

So I have failed verification, now normal practice here is that funds are returned to card and account closed?

Normal practice would be for funds to be returned to your account, and for you to submit up to date ID.

If there's a rep here, see if they may make an exception. If not, get your updated ID. I suggest you use the TAB function to resist the temptation to play it while you are doing so.

Maybe ask if there's some alternative, like you holding up your expired ID and taking a selfie.

So how can an operator use verification as a reason not to payout winnings and refund, if you lose then not return deposits.

Basically using legislation as it suits them.

PM the rep if it's an accredited casino.

If you don't get the opportunity to submit current ID, I'd use the player arbitration service offered here.

If it's not your ID, save us all the trouble.

Did the return the funds or just the deposit to your account or are you assuming this is what they will do.?

If it's a reliable casino they will return all funds ie your withdrawal amount to your account.

And why would they close your account?
They will ask another form of identification.

So by your thought process, why have verification. If you fail, just send the player the money and close the account. Not the best business plan!

I have asked the customer support again, they have just said need valid ID.

Guess I shall wait until I get the renewed ID through.

Any way the point is, I can deposit away multiple times, they have not a care in the world, soon as you want to take money out its all under the ruse of legal obligations.

I know this is not really anthing new, usually I stick to the big names, often with uk presence. Stupidly I deposited with a site that is just online based.

If I am ahead and withdraw, fail ID, the deposits are returned.

So why not put the same rules with consistency and refund deposits if you are not winning.

Ok so thats open to abuse, but at least then accounts should be verified after the first deposit rather than only when a player wins.

I think I will just have to write off the money for now.
