yeah, he lasted less than a week following his 90-day ban before going off the handle yet again. if he came back with good behaviour for a few months, and then pulled this stunt, maybe it wouldn't have been the last straw. that is to say, none of these sanctions have taught him a lesson so yet another time-out is not going to solve anything more.
maybe in a year's time, evaluate the situation and invite him back, but i don't blame the admin for not being that generous either. if three months didn't change his attitude, a year probably won't help any more.
yes he's got much more good than bad in him, and he indeed is a valued and beloved member here, however when the bad starts to show more often and is hurtful/abusive to the health of the whole system, then there comes a time when enough is enough.
i don't know what draws the dark side out of him/us, but we all have one and for many it is difficult to control ourselves all the time. it's unfortunate lojo chose to lash out and post things without thinking twice. drink probably had much to do with it, but it was a choice to get drunk and subsequently log on and reply to threads, so really that's no excuse to pass it off as yet another drunk ranting/rambling.
oh well, life goes on. those who wish to communicate with him can do so via other channels, and those who were getting tired of his antics can rest easier now. so this is a non-event, really. that's my take on it.
