I have a feeling it's not them. Regardless, if you have a brand to protect - register the domain for the .ru as soon as possible. There are far too many unethical scamsters coming out of the Russian Federation (no offence to Russian members).

Here is a domain seller that enables you to check EU and non EU domain availablity.
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Lol! Do they know about this at WOL? :eek2:

You can spend a fortune soon buying all national domains and all variations.
Yes, they know - and they're not too happy about it. But I'll let them fight their own battles - they have the Cryptologic guns :D

You don't need to if you are protected by trademark rights. And if a site appears to be violating this, a polite but firm email to the affiate managers of whatever casinos that are listed there is usually good enough to have the site taken down. I deal with this every week it seems.

Yes, copying site content and stealing type-in traffic by using almost identical URLs has become rampant.

Have you read about this: Link Removed (invalid URL)

This site just took the name from WOL, content and design are completely different. I'm afraid WOL name is not internationally protected so these guys didn't violated rules (unlike another company that copied CON).

Anyway, I'd tell you that their visitors have no idea about English WOL :). This site belongs to roguish Va-Bank casino (which they advertise) and site is far-far away from popular place...

Winneronline should have had the foresight to protect their name - but a good lawyer could have them turn it over to WOL claiming pending trademark rights. But that's their problem - not mine. And I'm pointing this out to everyone that this is something to be concerned about if you have a name or brand to protect.

Yes, both guys and court in Russia. I suppose your TM should be registered in Russia to get protection in the court.
But I think they will be happy to sell the site to WOL for substantial sum of money ;).
Anyway you should not think that cybersquatters and TM thiefs thrive in Russia. Google and Nokia got sites google.ru and nokia.ru through court AFAIR.
