    Hello everyone,

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here but could I please make a request/comment regarding folks who post screenshots in the Winners Screenshots thread.

In simple terms, please include at least one piece of basic information:

    1) Multiplication of stake the win represents

And also, if you're inclined to:

    2) What stake you were playing at and how big the win was in actual currency terms
    3) A short description of the win/bonus

One thing that strikes me time and time again when I'm looking at Winners Screenshots is that quite regularly I really have no idea what it is I'm actually supposed to be looking at. For software/slots I'm familiar with I can usually work it out, but if it's a slot I've never played before and/or a software I've never played before, I'm literally just like, 'OK, there's a screenshot, and there's a number, but I have no clue what either of them mean.'

This problem can be compounded when you don't know what coin size people are playing, how many coins/lines they were playing, and there's no indication on the screenshot as to what stake was being played - so even the win amount can just be an arbitrary number with no context or meaning. (I really don't understand why people play in 'coins' as opposed to an actual representation of money, but that's a different story entirely :))

Finally, quite often the screenshots are taken after the bonus/spins/whatever have finished, so the screenshot is 'post event' as it were, thus there's not actually much to look at, which is where point (3) above comes in - kind of 'talk us through what happened' if you will!

I think it's just a nice sort of 'quality of life' adjustment that would make the Winners Screenshots thread more meaningful for the folks who follow it :)

I thought about that when I posted my spring break screenshot, it was right after free spins so the actual screen doesn't really show anything except the win total. Which was actually the important part to me anyhow, hah. ;)

I try to post a summary of what happened and details of the hit in my screenshots, as they are mostly RTG you can see the bet size in the screenshot anyway.:)

But I am with ya in like to read what people post in regards to the win, on the other hand if they don't feel comfortable giving alot of details than that's fine too.

Oh absolutely, people should only post what they're comfortable with doing.

However, I would suggest that as an absolute minimum the multiplication of stake that the win represents should be included, otherwise the numbers on the screenshot really are completely meaningless.

I'm probably supposed to know this, but I don't. I've never understood it - but I would like to.

I get it to a very limited extent with Roulette and Craps because I know there's a land-based history there, but even so it still strikes me as silly. I enter with money, I wager money, I leave with money. Is this another one of those "Casino obfuscation techniques"?

As I said, I'd like to understand this. As you say, perhaps a different story.

I have no idea whatsoever Chris, it does perplex me when I look at the winners screenshots and the wins are represented by some sort of arbitrary number of 'coins', if the coin size is anything other than 0.01 then it's not even like you can just mentally add the decimal point in to work out what it means in real money.

The first thing I do at any casino, any software, any slot - is set the game so that everything I am shown (where possible) is a currency value, if I've won £175.15p, I want to see £175.15p, not '3503 coins' if I'm playing at a 0.05 coin size, for example.

If you are interested in that you are free to calculate it yourself from my screenshots.
I'm not interested. Sorry for that!:)

In some screenshots - (not yours specifically, I just mean generally) - the stake isn't even visible, it's literally just 'a number' in a screenshot, with no context and no meaning whatsoever.

I agree about that. I also want to see the stake and want people to write at least that.
Still I don't think most other people don't care. You can see that below every screenie.
The WTG is clicked if it's a huge amount that has been payed out.
I posted one tonight that was over 1000x bet but not many saw that since the winning wasn't so big:rolleyes:

As you might have guessed - that annoys me too! I wont WTG any shots like that - or any slot wins which are way under bet x100.
And I agree with all the points you have made with the addition of screenshots which are too small to see and/or have other stuff in view (like the whole desktop) which also annoy me.

At the end of the day though - it a public forum and people can post what they want. It's no big deal and not really important - just some of these things "niggle" me, as they do you.
