Back in march I realised I was having some issues with gambling so I requested a deposit limit to be set with winner casino. They emailed me asking how much, I said £200 weekly. I didn't deposit with the casino until June and in he pace of 5 days they loosed me to deposit £2414

I emailed them asking why they hadn't safeguarded me with my deposit limits that should have been out in place, now they are saying that I never requested a deposit limit be set - but I have sent the email exchange. Which they are ignoring and saying I m not entitled to a refund.

What is the point of having deposit limits if casinos o not enforce them? Surely this is against responsible gaming?

I don't know what to say really...but I wonder why you even tried to deposit more than what your limit was for?
Then you continued to do that:eek2:
Did you think they would be forced to pay you back then since you had a win win situation?
I know I sound cynical but it have happened before.

This casino is on the ''Not recommended'' so your choice of casino wasn't so good either.
I'm sure others will come with more advices for you and options what you can do to get this solved.

I'm sorry you found out the hard way, but Winner Casino is not a name you can NOT associate with words like "Responsible, Ethical or Fair".

They are just one of many Playtech based casinos who have it in their rules that if you get lucky and win a progressive jackpot, they will hold on to YOUR money (which at no point belonged to the actual casino) and drip-feed it to you over many months/years. For example, if you won the Monty Python's Spamalot jackpot today (€1.5m), they would take close to FOURTEEN YEARS to pay your winnings. :eek2:

Regardless of how scummy this casino is though, it sounds like YOU have a serious gambling problem and I urge you to forget about Winner and take the necessary steps to deal with your problem before it gets too out of control.
If you must continue to gamble, at least use a casino on the Accredited list who WILL take deposit limits seriously.

Did they send you a written confirmation that the limit has been set? This is what 32red and others have done for me in the past.

Alsox whether the above is true or not, why did you attempt to deposit more than the limit anyway? If I know there is a limit on my account I don't attempt to deposit over it.
