You might like to take a look at the JF Blog, also by David. Here, JF are getting kudos for getting a check to a player who made a silly typo. The 30 day wait is re-iterated as set in stone, but they were able to keep to 30 days despite the earlier mistake. Part of the problem was the need to wait 10 days to cancel the duff check.
Some players here are arguing that it takes MORE than 30 days to get paid, and that is without any mistakes. These bad cases have NOT appeared on the blog.
The issue in February turned out to be one of frozen funds, but for several months the JF kept the truth under wraps, pretending all was well with the system, and it was just taking a bit longer. It is only NOW that JF are being truthful - as they don't have much choice as the problems they had are public knowledge.
This is exactly what we had with Neteller at around the same time, the official line was that, due to the huge number of requests, and limited processing capacity, US players were going to have to wait a month or more. It turned out to be a lie, the money had been seized, and NO checks were being sent out from day one. Eventually, Neteller had to admit this under pressure, and we now know that the actual wait was more like 6 to 11 months, and Neteller probably suspected this would be the case from the outset.
