hey all i was wondering why most people still use bonuses to play online when you know that most online casinos use the bonus the most for denying your winnings, to me to know that and still take it then having to wager it x amount of times which has now added another level of difficulty to yourself to me doesn't make sense. It's like telling your boss at work that you want to work 3 times harder and longer for the same pay as all the regular employees, would anyone here do that ? i don't deposit more than like $30 at a time and the absolute max is $50 so it's not like i'm some high roller whos lookin down his nose or anything, i just wanna understand is all.by the way i will take a free no deposit chip because to me it's different then putting conditions on my own money :D

a good deal lately is the vc members bonus. each week 45 gbp for giving 2250 in action. credited post-wagering, and says on their site plainly "no fuss, no denials if you win money from us, just play the required amount during each period and get 45 gbp placed in your account each time, no strings attached." i've done very well on this and last month's weekly offers.

aside from that, the only other bonuses i take are the standard monthly bonuses at top-quality sites, and shy away from special and shady-smelling offers. else i just play my own money, a little at a time and try to double, triple it up or better, mostly on cards and vp.

I don't take a bonus on a deposit if they add it I email
an request that they remove it if they dont remove it I email them back an tell them to refund my money as I will not be playing

You get a good play an then have to still play to meet the wag req
by then you have used up all your cash so heck what is left to withdraw

might as well feed my money to the garbage disposal

If you don't take bonuses, you are expected to lose money over time. If you wager enough, you are almost certain to have a net loss. Bonuses can shift the odds in your favor or at least reduce the size of your losses. Yes, some bonuses are bad, and some casinos are bad. This doesn't mean all bonuses are bad, nor does it mean you should expect problems, if you take a bonus.

yes I take bonuses

positiv: longer play - more money for my deposit
negativ: too met the wag. req.

in some casinos I have a VIP Status, and the wag. rq. are only 5 times bonus+deposit

I do not play with bonuses where you have a max cash out limit.

I only play with bonuses and I am very happy for the outcomes I had.

To avoid the stupid casino tricks I follow this simply few rules:

- I read carefully the T&C
- I only play in accredited casinos

And then patience, patience, patience to meet the WR. Maybe I have been lucky (until now and I keep my fingers crossed for the future :D ) but I have always been paid my winnings.

I like bonuses - I make sure I read T & C of every bonus. I have cashed out using bonuses. I do only take the bonuses where I would deposit though Im afraid of the freebies.:)

I estimate have lost 1-2K$ playing slots over the last 4 years. If I had not
gotten the 15K$+ slot bonuses the loss would have be much worse, and I would not have been able to play as much also.

With bonuses: -2K$
Without bonuses:-17000$

I actually never play slots without a bonus since I fully realize what I am up against.

I often take bonuses as well. I like any microgaming casino where they have and truly use the EZplay system. You can withdraw at anytime, you just forfeit the bonus money if you haven't met required playthough.

On RTG, I only play Clubworld and Inetbet and I will usually take a bonus offered as long as it's 50% or more. Mainly because I want more playtime, and I have done well on bonuses in the past. I am finding lately though, that I get one or two decent sized wins early on in my wagering requirements, and then nothing until I'm drained. When this starts to happen, my next few deposits are always bonus free, which they will be.

99.9 % of the time I play on my own money and if I win, all thats left is to pay me and there can be no excuses on the cash out. I have played a few bonuses like Rival & RTG when the play was half way fair 8 to 10x on a 200% to 300% match bonus with a no max cash out. Even these types of bonuses still increase the odds for the casino to win. I only play certain bonuses if I want a little more play for my money and use the bonus to place higher bets in hopes of getting through the play through quicker and walk away with a win.

Now most of the match bonuses have went up to 20 to 30x even 50x and more on 100% to 200% match bonuses with most having a max cash out of 2 to 10 times deposit and excludes bonus. Unless your just obtuse when it comes to math you are doing nothing more than throwing your money away with these types of bonuses. The odds are high you are going to lose and the casinos love when people take these bonuses.

I think any good casino that offers legit bonuses that you can cash out on keeps the T&Cs simple to understand and play through fair. The casinos that create bonuses with high play through and T&Cs you could not understand even if you read them upside down , not worth the deposit, and most Not all are casinos that had no intentions of paying you in the first place or will cause you more effort than it is worth to collect your cash out.

I usually do 50/50 sometimes I play with, sometimes I play without.

Why?

Well sometimes I have $25 to spare and really want to play and no way of going to the bank and putting some money on it. So what I do I look for the promotion with best wagering and gives me most cash to play with.

Then when I use the promotion I get something more to enjoy myself with. I usually do this with lower deposits. If a deposit is lets say higher then $50 I usually take a very small promotion like 10% or 25%, something that the wagering is so low that by playing I wouldn't be affected to much.

If I deposit anything big, so far happened maybe 3 times that I deposited anything over $100 at one go. For me that is big, sorry but I make here maybe the same as a teenager in the US makes for Mac Donalds, so I got minimum budget for gambling. Then I choose no promotion really.

Basically it depends, you play to win go for low to no on the promotions. You play to try to get the most out of it and hopefully win use a promotion, just not on to big a deposits because that can be suicide. And if you see a great deal, make SURE to read the wagering requirements and other small print, buy an electron microscope just to be sure with some site.

Not sure if this all will help you but it just my view really. All have their own strategy and their own rabbit feet to create their luck. But in the end, promotion or no promotion it all luck still.

Where that rabbit go to... well talk again soon got to find fluffy...:p

My experience with bonuses has been less than positive. I feel better waiting until I have extra cash, and then playing with my own money. At least if I do happen to get lucky, I should not have a problem cashing out (as long as I have carefully chosen my place of play:))

Most of you already know me as a low-rolling, bonus "advantage player" - though I'm not sure if that term can be applied to slots play, which I what I virtually only do these days...?

Like many posters above I take bonuses with 95%+ of my deposits and I certainly think they contribute to my continual month on month online profits.
Apart from the obvious boost to my bank balance, bonuses also give me a stopping point; shortly after meeting the WR I will withdraw & move on the the next bonus.

The only downside is I low-roll to such an extent that it takes many, many hours of patient play to meet the WR's with a positive balance. This is a bit frustrating because being in the UK there are dozens and dozens of monthly bonuses I could take if I had the time. As it is I only get through about 5-8 casinos per month. :(
Still, as long as I'm not losing money, I'm happy!

You should start franchising your system ;)

I always take bonuses, otherwise you will expect to lose. But I only use reputable companies that I know will pay.

Funnily enough, my favourite ones are actually the "Wager X then we give you Y" because then you get a guaranteed sum with a guaranteed set wager X, so no busting out quickly... sometimes I go down a lot but thanks to needing X by the time I finnish I may be on top again. Also you can normally see the WR going down, so you know you are playing the right game.

I play relatively high value stakes VP or Texas Bonus, so there is some variance. Sure, sometimes I go maybe 300 up quickly and then end up down overall. But I see it as one long game... If I pulled out early then I would have "wasted" say 500 towards the WR, and next time i played I'd just start from 0 and probably still hit the down streak!

Also I like bonuses coz it gives u a good stopping point. WR complete means stop. Helps to prevent over gambling, or just whazzing any wins up the wall!

I can assure you many people have been banned from VC, about 6 months ago - for just meeting the terms of their promo.

when i first started playing online i always took bonuses. and then i hit the red , white and blue sevens. 2,500. dollars and i withdrew 999.00 . then a few months later i used a bonus and hit cleo at 7,000 and ? and could only withdraw 1.000 dollars. of course that was about 4 years ago. it was a disapointment. but i learned that bonuses are good but if you hit a j p. its a shame you cant keep all the money. i did hit a few good j ps and they were with no bonus and i got all the money so it was worth it. so since then i play with no bonus and i do loose more but if i hit then its all mine and i dont have to meet t and c. other than getting longer play with taking a bonus its not worth it to me. but thats just me.

here's my experience:

played at "reputable" rtg, made deposits with weekly bonuses, no problems. the casino e-mails me a bonus that's a little better than the weekly bonus so i take it. the weekly bonus had no restrictions except the playthrough, however, the one that they e-mailed me had a 10x deposit withdrawal limit in tiny, tiny print on the bottom of the e-mail which i later learned about after:

i won a big random jackpot!!! (but i still got $2000)

they assured me they would put the remainder back into the random jackpot, but, no..... THEY kept it.

unless you are very actively aware of the bonuses you are taking, i'm afraid that they are usually the casino's method of basically "cheating" you out of any chance of winning.

when i play at b & m casinos in vegas or here in california, i get "free" money and free slot play all the time. i can't even imagine a slot host coming up to me and saying:

"congratulations on your win sir, but you'll have to spin 5000 more times before i can pay you, and i can only pay you 10x what you initially put into the machine. also, my fellow host tells me you played a few hands of blackjack, that makes your slot win null and void. please just step away from the machine. also, if you do try to cash out, we'll have to ask you not to come back again. we also noticed that you didn't fill in your middle name when you signed up for the slot club. to verify identity, please pee in this cup. thank you for playing with us."
