Who's most famous person you have met?

I met Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin, Maury Chaykin, Carl Weathers and Angie Dickinson... oh, and Andrew Stevens, at the time married to Kate Jackson (of Charlie's Angels fame, son of Stella Stevens). All of them were stars in "Death Hunt", a movie I was an extra in, in the beautiful Rocky Mountains (same area that Brokeback Mountain was filmed, but about 25 years earlier! I think I was paid about $6/hr. for the pleasure!)

I stood beside Maury Chaykin in one scene and he counselled me on how to act better. (Maury Chaykin was the bookie in "Owning Mahoney").

In those days at least, the typical amount of a day's work that actually went to film was about 1 minute. Therefore, there was a lot of sitting around and waiting. I remember being very bored and staring off into space in the direction of Lee Marvin and him saying to me "What are you looking at??" He was a little crusty to say the least!

I sat at the next table in a restaurant to the guy who played that kid. Peter something....

Oh...this reminded me...When my oldest daughter was about 12 or so, she went out to eat at the nicest restaurant in our town (there is only this one...lol) with my dad and his girlfriend, they sat across from Judge Judy.

When they got home they told me the story and said she smiled and waved at my daughter, so I said where is her autograph....all 3 were too shy to go over and bother her. I was wondering why she would be in our small town, i forget the reason why, something to do with one of her children going to school somewhere near here, or owning a home somewhere near here.

I met Angus Young at a hotel bar in Melbourne one night about 7 years ago. I got his Autograph and asked him a few questions about the tour etc- he didnt really seem into conversation so I left it at that.

Ive met a lot of Aussie music celebs such as Killing Heidi, Grinspoon, Jimmy Barnes etc but thats about it.

Do the wiggles count as being famous????

Charles Bronson!! Dang! I loved him in all his payback movies. I can not remember the names of the movies, Help??? It is sad to get so forgetful.

Do you mean all the Death Wish films he made? Otherwise, his bio is here:

I think I was only 1 of 2 (Angie Dickinson) or 3 "white women" in this male guy film.

Yep, there were two or three, if not more. I had forgotten about Jill Ireland being in them. He was just so tough and Robin Hood'ish (I know that is not a real word, but it works here). He was better than even Clint Eastwood in his Dirty Harry movies.

Oops, did I derail this thread again? Sorry.

The Queen, many years ago when I was at an agriculture college in Berkshire and we were doing some preparation work at Smiths Lawn for a forthcoming horse event, we had a brief chat about Antirrhinum`s, lol I was so nervous I was spurting incoherent bull crap, but she was/is a very nice person indeed ;).

LOL. Beat that :D

I know huh? I'm jealous, but I'd be totally petrified at meeting the queen - I'd be so paraniod I would make a major faux pas or say something idiotic or throw up on her lap or something. Suddenly develop Tourette syndrome. Lose control of my bladder. ack.

My youngest grandson would be so jealous. He's into all that gory stuff LOL. He can debate Jason, Freddy, Pinhead, Michael Myers, etc till the cows come home. The sad part, he's only 7 lol. I think he has finally decided he's going to be Jason for Halloween.
