Hello guys, I am anxiously waiting for Videoslots to launch the 3D poker software, I have noticed in many forums that many players are looking forward to playing again, the idea of bringing my avatar to the tables excites me, we have to create a community, guys let's understand how we want the return of 3D software, who like me can't wait? I'm there with my avatar SnowMan89 and you?

I will be honest, while PKR 3D poker was fun, I'm not really fussed if it comes back or not.

It made the game slower to play and was more of a novelty, and was more suited to the casual player, hardened poker players want to play faster and more hands per hour.

The one advantage of now over the past is that devices have far better processing power and faster connection speeds than previously so more people would probably be able to run it better, but I can't see any real incentive for a company to go 3D over 2D. bound to be more running costs for no real gain?

I agree on various points of your speech, but now the world of poker has changed, have you noticed that in 5 years so many players switch to slot casinos?, Videoslots has done something very smart, has its own casino circuit and bought pkr's 3D software, many players while doing tournaments can also switch to slots and then I definitely agree that now most pc's hold this software very well, then I think now players look very emotional aspect, love to bring your avatar like a game and modify it thanks to the various items, what do you think?

Do you think that Videoslots has its own circuit, you switch from poker to slots or play at the same time, I think it brings many players and traffic in general

Then not to underestimate a possible shared liquidity in online poker, many players to challenge each other from different nations, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Swedish, German and Portuguese, I think it would be a boom

How many more threads on this?

Admit defeat - although Videoslots have the software, they're clearly not inclined to do anything with it currently.

I had the right contest wrong, I think that here we talk about poker anyway if you take a tour on the various forums or on the pkr videos on youtube you can see that there is a community, everyone is waiting to play that software, is there a reason? in my opinion videoslots will launch it soon

3D poker would probably be popular and cool for teenagers, if it's for adults, don't see any reason to have anything disturbing for game itself. But kids probably will love to play with avatars and other stuff.

But have you noticed that poker is in free fall? I would do everything to bring a movement, now in the classic 2D it is no longer attractive, the guys who want to win and have fun are welcome, now there is a generation of gaming, graphics and fun players, if you can win even better money right?

If the audience is in free-fall, why would they want to invest money in a declining product?

Far simpler to chuck some low-RTP slots out with minimal investment and higher return.

Why not create a path that includes all three? 2D-3D poker room and slots with high rtp, each player chooses whether to play in 2D or 3D, and at the same time can play the slots, in my opinion Videoslots has made such a thought, you create a community and you have more traffic or am I wrong?

But why do it in the first place, when they can just licence the tables already provided by Playtech/Evolution et al?

If they thought the money was in it, they would've launched far quicker after acquiring the software. Now that software is likely out-dated and will require major updates for newer browsers, there's more risk and less reward.

I don't think they buy a product, pay a lot of money and then let it die, I think they have a serious idea and then launch it at the right time, maybe the shared liquidity?

Or simply I'm looking for something innovative to launch at the same time as the poker room, maybe something that can attract players, then not to be underestimated that in many countries you can't advertise, something obscene in my opinion.

Personally I dont see the point in it, a pokerstars style setup is fine for online poker.
Its not like you can get reads from 3d modeled characters.

Yeah I agree, I'm not bothered with this.

When I play poker I just want it quick and simple, PokerStars gimmick with throwing ice buckets and rockets which you can unlock was enough for me so I turned that off.

Maybe in a couple of years we will see virtual reality for some of the live games.
I think that could be kind of cool if done right.
I think for the moment VR is too much, especially for poker, after 30 min you are destroyed, imagine in a tournament, however what do you think of pkr's 3d software? have you ever played it

Nope, never tried it.
you have to create your avatar and you can customize everything from clothes to tone of voice, then at the table you can do at least 30 interactions such as talking or getting up from the table when you go all in, or inciting the opponent or intimidating

Not sure i would use any of those functions even if i had them available.
I get the idea, but i just think it sounds like a poor mans version of virtual reality.

well, obviously this software was launched in 2007 but still today there is nothing like it, indeed it is very avant-garde, while on the vr I am a bit skeptical, maybe in 5/7 years

It is also true that it has been updated until 2017 but in the various poker rooms there is nothing like it is a unique thing

I think it is an understatement to talk and compare pkr's 3D software with pokerstats' rocket and bucket launch, 3D software is a world apart, the goal is to win and play fast that's for sure, but the waiting time it is the same as all other poker rooms, but the 3D software is more immersive it really is a world apart, and like playing live

Have you seen the 3D poker software purchased from Videoslot casino?

Yes, I remember the days of yore when online poker was loads of fun, and there were innovative groups developing what PKR had. When the US got greedy and shut down the US facing poker sites, that killed that avenue of entertainment. US players make/made the bulk of poker players, and it was entertaining as hell being in the States and playing against Swedish players and visa versa.

That was then - this is now.

Now it's a industry that pumps out slot after slot - no innovation, nothing new, freaking astonishingly bad. Pinch me I wanna wake up. 2021 is nearly halfway over, and the ingenuity, creativity, and new technology is in a Covid coma me thinks.

Focusing on older players (those players who were at the tables more than a decade ago) is a big mistake. There needs to be something that Generation Z can relate to - they are the ones who will be at the tables in the next 5 years or so replacing the old wood so to speak. I discuss this in my Sept 2019 podcast starting at 4:26

Maybe the folks a videoslots can give us an idea where they are at on this.
