Dating ourselves here but what the hell.

Rolling Stones (3 times, once with Billy Preston joining them), Yes, J.Geils Band, Aerosmith, Willie Nelson, Elton John, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Grateful Dead, Beach Boys, Boston, Springsteen, Steppenwolf, Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, ZZ Top, The Who, Waylon Jennings, Iron Maiden ( I was drunk and would not normally have gone  ), Little River Band, James Taylor, Carol King, and probably a few others. Growing up in Massachusettes we got to see a bunch of them at Boston Garden. Ahhh, the good ole days.

One I always wanted to and regret not seeing was Cat Stevens.

Hi All,

I couldn't resist joining in this thread , it will be the first time in ages I have answered something that is not casino related ;)

Concerts I have attended

Crowded House
Dave Dobbyn
Dire Straits
Midnight Oil
Herbs
And my favorite band which I must have seen at least 20 times in concert
(probably more but I am ashamed to admit I do not remember all of the 80's back in NZ) The Exponents with Jordan Luck

Also saw a fair number of concerts in europe since end 90's but to be honest none can compare with seeing The exponents live in a relatively small NZ venue

Lynyrd Skynyrd - 4 times
Led Zeppelin - 3 times
AC/DC - 4 times... and counting
Bob Marley - Only once at a bar in NYC
Stevie Ray Vaughan - twice
Muddy Waters - once
BB King - 2 times
Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson - once
Kenny Rogers - what can I say.. I was really drunk
Rolling Stones - So many times I can't count
Niel Young(by his self) - 2, Crazy Horse -1, The BlueNotes - 1
Little River Band - One of the Best concerts I ever saw
Nine Inch Nails - Once
Rage Against the Machine - Once
Bush - Twice
Papa Roach - Once
Band of Susans - Once
Soil - Once

There are more but I can't remember all of them... A big part of the 70's and 80's is kinda hazy for me...

I wish I was kidding...:D

I just remembered I saw Molly Hatchet, 38 Special and Def Leopard in Phoenix
And J Giles several times in Florida.

Oh God I forgot Deep Purple... and Grand Funk Rail Road.

Damit now I am going to on about this all weekend... ;)

Not seen many, well not recently anyway!
Iron Maiden, UFO, Ozzy Osbourne, Madness, Paul McCartney, AC/DC, Gary Glitter, and probably loads more I've forgotten!

Sorry, Iron Maiden is my favourite metal band, but for an entertaining show it has to be AC/DC!!!

I'm going to be Back in Black until I get Thunderstruck!

KK

Bob Seger 2x......it was the best!
Molly Hatchet
Bryan Adams
Def Leppard
Foreigner
The Eagles........"Hell Freezes Over"
Vince Gill/Patty Loveless
Clint Black
Martina McBride
Sara Evans/Brad Paisley/Sugarland
Kenny Rodgers/Oak Ridge Boys
Waylon Jennings........the redneck girl in me loved Waylon!
Seems like there were a few more that I can't recall.....wonder why? ;)

The one I've always wanted to see but haven't yet.....The Boss/Bruce Springsteen. I better hurry, hadn't I? He isn't a spring chicken anymore.

Led Zeppelin - 3 times
Stevie Ray Vaughan - twice

I am soooooo jealous....only concerts I was never able to get to...and the day that SRV died, I cried. My favourite guitarist, ever, of anyone. Never got to see Zep, but did see Robert Plant a couple of times. I guess seeing The Song Remains The Same about thirty times doesn't count?

My list:

Robert Plant - twice
AC/DC - twice (Back in Black and Hell's Bells)
Black Sabbath
Rod Stewart - four times
Rolling Stones - once at the El Mocambo here in downtown TO
Van Halen - with David Lee Roth, not Sammy Hagar
Rush - numerous times
Triumph - more times than I can remember
Bon Jovi with Skid Row
Beach Boys
Chicago
U2
Pink Floyd (The Wall)
Burton Cummings (solo, not with the Who...the man is simply amazing. You could hear a pin drop during his encore...just him and the piano)
The Who (two farewell concerts)
Bob Seger (after the haircut, lol)
Def Leppard
Meatloaf ( a few times in an arena, and a few times in a large bar venue)
Collective Soul (at the Opera House here in TO, amazing show and venue)
The Cult (at the CNE, what a blast)
Yes
The Scorpions (such a better show than I expected, they are great, amazing lead singer)
Cheap Trick (embarrassed to say I slept out overnight for tickets for this one...I was young and stupid, lol)
Guns n' Roses (surprisingly disappointing, and they were my favourite band at the time...too much sex, drugs and rock n' roll I'm afraid)
Aerosmith (only once, a shame)
George Thorogood (at the old Massey Hall, one of the most rocking shows I've ever seen...and they served booze.....legally, lol)

The only bands I really miss seeing are Zep and Queen...and SRV. I've seen a ton of really great musicians/bands, etc. here in TO when the bar scene was hot...too many to name. Ah, the good old days. Like lots0, I'm sure I've left some off the list as well.

If they go to Foxwoods or The Mohegan Sun I see them.
Pretty much everyone. And if I don't like them I don't go  The Comps are great that come with good seats.
75% of the time they are floor seats.
The only one I didnt see is Britney Spears

You been drinkin'?:D
Burton Cummings= The Guess Who:thumbsup: (have seen and their Greatest Hits CD is a classic)

A lot of the same as others and some not necessarily in concert. Don't think any of these were posted but I was speed reading so will just add a few not mentioned:
1. The Marshall Tucker Band
2. Emerson,Lake, and Palmer with an orchestra. The only concert that ever made my ears ring and hurt:eek:
3. The Outlaws (not Waylon and gang but Green Grass and High Tides)
4. Spyro Gyra
5. Garth and Trisha (social obligation)
6. Neal Diamond
7. Peter Frampton
8. Steve Winwood
9. Plant and Page but never LZ which was always at the top of my list. That and the Masters (still time) are really the only 2 dream events not crossed off.Very blessed!!

First concert (yes my mom was my date, lol) was Three Dog Night:thumbsup:

Still pissed no one saved me a seat and missed The Osmonds.:D:D

AC/DC was the first band I ever went to see, Bon Scott was lead then :D it was in Tasmania in 1979 & I was 14. It was the best  After that I saw a lot of Aussie bands that probably not many have heard of - Hush, Ted Mulry Gang, Australian Crawl, Cold Chisel (gotta luv Jimmy Barnes) Inxs, Uncanny X-men & I mustn't forget Neil Diamond, he has the sexiest voice ever :) - I came from a small city in Tassie & there were never any really big names that played near there, lol. Since I have been in Victoria I have seen the Rolling Stones (all time favorite band) Kiss, Matchbox 20 & my latest was Pink, she was absolutly amazing!

Ha - funny question since it's a real hard one for me to answer. As some of you might know, I grew up in the SF bay area during the 60s, and my parents were pretty "progressive" and exposed me to some very culture focused events. My parents were more beatnikish 50s Californian - but the Hippie movement was something that influenced the whole family.

They used to go to shows in SF (Golden Gate Park or in some of the smaller venues), sometimes bringing me along (I was 10-12 years), and I don't remember too much on what bands were playing. But I do remember the people there. Some of my best memories are of having my face painted by some hippie girls - with black light face paint...and the light shows.

We used to go to Kepler's Bookstore a lot where the Dead and the Merry Pranksters would be hanging out. I grew up in Los Altos where a lot of this stuff was going on.

When I was older I went to A LOT of shows, kinda like Lots0. The first real concert I went to (without my parents) was Eric Clapton (Cow Palace July 1974) and then George Harrison (Cow Palace Nov 1974), and then from there it was like every other weekend I would hitchhike to either Winterland or some local venue (if I could get in).

But like a lot of people, the 70's were pretty foggy for me :p

Day on the Green's at Oakland Colosseum in the late seventies were great. I saw many great bands there to include the Who, Stones, Jeff Beck, Blue Oyster Cult, Fleetwood Mac, J.Geils, the Dead, Peter Tosh, just to name a few off the top of my head.

Best shows?? Frank Zappa in '75 at Winterland and '76 at Standford U.

Devo at Santa Cruz civic in 79 and 80 were the tops though. I had never seen so much energy pounded out from five people ever before. By this time, I was pretty much a "spudboy" and really into the punk scene...

...the Dead Kennedys in 84 at the Keystone in Palo Alto was a major high point. The "mosh pit was a pretty new thing and it was a blast to play air guitar with Jello Biafra and stage dive together. Wild times....

I've been pretty mellow since then ;)

Hmmmmm...boy my list is small compared to a lot of you but here goes..

The O'Jays
Jamie Foxx
Beyonce..twice...awesome entertainer!!
Fantasia..on Broadway and here in Florida
Keith Sweat
Tamara
Earth, Wind and Fire
Robin Thicke
probably a few more that I can't think of:thumbsup:

On Sept 14th I will have front row seats in the Audience at the Jerry Springer show.
The shows moved to Connecticut to Stamford a month or so from Chacago
And I am not a contestant on the show
Will let you know after the show the date it will be aired on tv.
I just hope it's a good one.
