"Bee in the Bonnet" is not a belittling statement. A bonnet is like a hat, and when you have a bee buzzing around inside, you start freaking out.
Me thinks you need to grow some thicker skin if you don't like it when people disagree with your opinion. I don't really see that people were being insulting towards you. It's a forum with people from all walks of life and different perspectives. If we were sitting around drinking beers, it would make the conversations more easily understandable.
I think one problem is that you seem to be latched on to a love/hate with
32Red. Many of us perceive this. There are a number of threads where you received consultations from me and Max to chill a bit. So when 32Red pops up and you're part of the conversation, I automatically take things with a grain of salt. And I can understand your alarm when you see a casino that at first goes up and beyond the normal call of duty and then retracts a function like the SE choice. But this does not make them bad. And they are not breaching their compliance towards the UKGC.
My main job here is to maintain order and to ensure that if people are complaining about something, that the complaints are balanced and fair. If there are serious complaints (non-payments, cheating software, etc.,) then I'll take action. If it's a complaint about a policy that the casino has chosen to undertake, then I'll take a look at it and decide what I want to do about it e.g. seeing if their policy goes against their licensor's rules, guidelines or regulations. With 32Red, they do not violate the UKGC's regulations. You or I may not like it, but that's how it is. And there are loads of casinos that don't even have something like this set up. So what's the big deal?
It's rare that we will all agree on the same thing. I have had disagreements with some of my closest friends, and this doesn't make us stop speaking to one another. There are a number of forum members that disagree with me on a number of things, and we agree to disagree. I think this is one of these moments.
