We were talking about embarassing moments (I've had a few!) and I decided to share one and see if this kind of thing has happened to anyone else.
When I was in Phoenix I was having some medical problems and my doc sent me to a new specialist. She's doing the intake questionnaire thing they do and she asked me if I was sexually active, I said, "No I just lie there" (because I've always wanted to say that) and she just gave me this blank stare. Well then I started to feel stupid and I got the giggles and the more stupid the whole situation seemed the funnier it got. Next thing you know I'm completely cracking up - you know, when you laugh so hard you can't catch your breath? And the whole time I'm losing it, she's sitting there stonefaced tapping her pencil and occasionally rolling her eyes or giving an impatient sigh waiting for me to quit braying like a jackass, and I just could NOT stop laughing and every time I looked at her it got worse. It was so ridiculous because the original joke wasn't even that funny.
