I have not fully decided as of yet in what we will do/have though I need to make a decision fairly swiftly.
We thought of a BBQ, however kinda always have had and maybe preferred the roast dinners then a BBQ for a Xmas feast, dinner. - BBQ never seemed like something that fitted Xmas Lunch/Dinner to me.
BBQ is usually on New Years Eve, afternoon, evening and even midnight lol
Might just do a roast beef and chicken, maybe a pork too not sure.
Was thinking of a nice creamy potato bake (scalloped potatoes) some cauliflower & Broccoli with cheese sauce, of course roast pumpkin (butternut) and maybe a few roast spuds as well.
Salads, the usual I think, potato salad, coleslaw and a normal salad - lettuce/tomato/cucumber/cheese/spring onions/croutons, dressings, gravy etc.
Desserts - cannot even think of something yet that I want to do.
Though summer weather has finally decided to start kicking in and it's looking like it will be sunny and around 33c degrees, so not sure I want to cook that many roasts and have oven going with that kind of heat
and in how hot the house gets as well.
Myself, I'd be easily content with various salads, breads, but this will not work so well for the carnivores in the family lol
What is on your menu ?
