What new hobbies are YOU going to be taking up because of the UKGC?

As the curtain starts to descend on UK online gambling as a result of the UKGC's overexuberance, what new hobby are you looking forward to participating in?

Maybe you'll be learning a new language or taking up hiking, as the UKGC mops up the last remnants of entertainment from this sector of the industry?

Perhaps you'll be sailing through the skies, either in a hot-air balloon or on a skydive, as down below the UKGC all slap each other on their backs as those final droplets of enjoyment are soaked into their fun-sponge?

Or could it be that you'll transform yourself into an avid gardener, trainspotter or birdwatcher, as the fucking UKGC overzealously absorbs the conclusive vestiges of light-hearted pleasure into a piece of a soft, light, porous synthetic material?

To tell you the truth, I don't know what the fuck I'll be doing with myself. So please post your hobbies here to give me some ideas...

Same as you, no idea

Its defo heading the way you describe though so will be keeping a close eye on this thread also for any decent ideas.

The 'fun' is almost gone and they're sucking the life out of what remains and doing so pretty sharpish also.

Never thought I'd think along these lines but I sense an awesome business opportunity here, a reliable casino, who can be trusted who pays out but takes UK players without the associated UKGC bullshit and way over the top policies :p

A hobby I started this year was Postcrossing. Basically its a website where you send and receive post cards to different people indifferent countries. So far I have received postcards from France, Las Vegas, Florida, 3 from Germany, Singapore, Canada and Russia. Its like sending and receiving little gifts from all over the world. Much more fun than Slots and a fair bit cheaper too

Unsure whether I should share this but I misread the highlighted word at very first super quick glance as cross dressing

Not something I am currently in to, nor have I ever been, however with the ever increasing frustration of gaming in the UK, never say never :p

Find a good offshore casino. I use 2 excellent ones via the same betting agent I use to access Pinnacle.

No SOW shit, decent RTPs, withdrawals in minutes, no popups, autoplay allowed. Never had an issue, ever in 8 years.

The only casino I still use in the UK is 21Casino, I respect them for showing their RTP on every game they offer in clear view.

Offshore can be scary, but if you have a google ,there are several agents that have been operating for many years.

The only thing I dont do it play progressives with 5 figure plus jackpots, at that level I wouldnt be comfortable winning a life changing jackpot.

well I've always had this passion to read war and peace but only one line per day and as its some 1225 pages long, I'm trying to work out how long that would take me.

I’m not British but I have other hobbies to replace gambling. I’ve been playing video games since 1978. Hopefully in the spring I’ll resume my favourite hobby: having fun with women.

have to admit I'm the same started playing counterstrike many moons ago then went on to mohaa then call of duty......which I'm still playing on the 360. But going back further then that I had the commodore amiga 500 now that was a true gaming machine, playing f18 interceptor, pang, eye of the beholder.....and many many more

Well I’ve already binned most of my casino only accounts. Only ones left are those attached to U.K. bookies. The quality of slots long sent me down this path way before the over-meddling of the UKGC. UKGC may think this is what they wanted but last time I looked I was hardly sending myself on the road to ruin. Their hammer to crack a nut has worked. Will save me a few quid though!

I enjoy gaming so will switch back to doing that a bit more. Certainly until we are able to travel more freely again. May get my hands on a PS5 sometime late 2023.

Only 3 months left before autoplay gets banned online in the UK. Enjoy it while you can people! You're forced to watch gambling adverts on TV all hours of the day, but you can't play up to 100 spins in a row on an online slot, even at £0.10 a spin, having selected a loss limit in advance. Three cheers for the UKGC!

Meh, plenty of workarounds, but if staying within UKGC casinos just install an auto clicker. Job done, with no loss or spin limits in place. So yes, bravo UKGC.

I will be looking into auto clicking software once this shit kicks in. What will annoy me is if I can't use my mouse on my other monitor whilst it's clicking the spin button on the main one. Also can see me missing out on some good screen shots as it will just click big wins away without me having time to react. UKGC are a bunch of tossers 😠

Personally I never use auto play. With the rate that my money normally disappears in the slots, anything to slow my play down and make my money last longer is a plus…
