i think imo that most casinos will have better days than others as well as the person playing. i was very quick to put alot of blame on 3- dice , which was wrong on my part as i have been playing at other casinos and have noticed the same thing, no really good hits and if you do hit a feature it seems to pay kinda crappy. i have been playing online for several years now and the last couple of months have seemed to be the worse by far.i have set myself on a budget now , will only play a certain amount at that casino and then move on, will try not to put the blame on a casino when im the one thats in charge of pushing the button and cashing out when i should, this is a very addictive form of entertainment for some and ill admit im one of those peeps.i will not give up my online entertainment but i will back off some.i know what the rush feels like when you hit a random jackpot or an awesome line bet, i have the screenies to prove that but i also know what a horrible feeling it is when you have lost enough money, that you could have paid your house off early, bought your kid a car or had a great vacation with your spouse.this is my own demon i will have to battle and again i do not admit a gambling problem , i just go way overboard with depositing and as off today that has stopped!!!!!.........just had to get this off my chest.......man i feel better already................................laurie:)

I agree 100 % - There was a time in the late 90s I played way above what I should have. I now only play on a budget ( so much per week) and I low roll. I still have way to much fun to ever quit playing but I do now play with a little more restraint:D

If you can get away from the money concept - playing for fun can be just as enjoyable. There are times when it is the game that attracts players, not so much the winnings.

I'd recommend the IGT games that can be found at

Or maybe for super-low stakes. How about a $0.09 spin on Spring Break. You still get the free spins, wilds and so on. I won more than $100 from a single spin on skullduggery at $0.01 per line. When my favourite soccer team Arsenal plays, I place a HKD10 bet on them regardless of the odds. That is equivalent to USD1.30. I am happy when they score and its totally painless if they dont win.

Go to an MG with a promo of 100%-150% match bonus, deposit $20 to $25 and play all your favourite slot games at 0.01 per line. You will have hours and hours of play. Dont try RTG though. The same stakes could burn you out sooner than you think.

I was about to say LED hasn't been updated in over a year, but I see they updated it and added WPT game but the online free play isn't linked yet... guess we'll wait another 6 months for it.

Laurie,

I'm happy I went ahead and turned off your deposits when I did. I do hope you take the opportunity to meet up with some fellow CM members in our tournament and chat system, and I wish you all the strength needed to get in that spot where you are comfortable with the cost of your entertainment !

All the best,

Enzo & Team

Tough decision but you did the right thing.

Good for you Laurie!! What a great and honest outlook. I was thinking last night (i know, the world probably weakened for a minute). I hope this isnt derailing but it kind of has to do with it. Its just not you posting and talking about this stuff and not just 3 dice, as you said, all of them. Im wondering if the casinos are getting their last shot at some cash before the summertime. I know it sounds wierd but if you think about it, alot of people just dont go outside in the winter and are more apt to be online more than the summertime .

Im feeling Dejavu.....I might of written a post last year about this at the sametime. Im gonnna go look. If I did, than I bet this is true and this is the time of year they rake in one last bit

Way to go lauriejim!
I, for one, think you'll be much happier by setting a limit to play with and giving casinos less money :) I hope it all works out for you and that now you'll enjoy your online gaming much more.
I do agree with those that say it is all casinos that have a poor payout rate.
I don't deposit much with each deposit and I am a low roller. However, I have seen a drastic decline in the playtime which does make it discouraging at most.
I've not won anything over $200(per win) in the year or so that I've been playing online and no I don't sit down at the computer with the mindset that I am playing to win.
No matter how many of us play for the entertainment factor, there does come a time where discouragement does set in from lack of winning.
Which brings me to a question that perhaps Casinomeister or anyone else with the knowledge of behind the scene info on casinos can answer.
Aside from the regular audits on casinos, do random audits take place in the fact that at any given time, without notice, an auditor can step into the place and do a random audit to see what they have the payout percentage set at and how these people are working the casino?

Nice words, but they're pretty hollow if you aren't willing to back them up.

Might I suggest that you do an honest evaluation of how much money you've lost over the past several years, vs how much enjoyment and entertainment you've received in exchange for that loss. If you do a brutally honest assessment, you should find that your money could have been better spent elsewhere.

..........shoulda....woulda...coulda... comes to mind.shoulda been on a budget woulda stuck to it and if my aunt had balls, she coulda been my uncle:D................as i said before my money could have been spent elsewhere on other things, i just went over board depositing, as im sure im not the only one thats ever done that.if i could do it all over again, id be smarter, deposit at the ones i trust now and know that pays.........................laurie

I feel your frustration Laurie - I've been getting absolutely slaughtered at the Rivals and the RTGs lately. 3Dice too - when I do hit anything good it's usually when my bet is tiny. For instance I did hit a nice 5 butterfly combo on Fortune Falls (which is good) but I was only betting 25 cents (which is bad) and then I jacked up my bet and lost half of my winnings in the next 5 minutes!

I've been doing better lately at Microgaming - there are so many games to choose from, it seems like your chances are better of finding something that's going to actually pay out.

i gotta reply here also that i'm a low roller and every casino from rival to mg to rtg to 3dice has been on vacum mode,i remember seeing peeps post about depositing and not hitting anything worth anything at all but it has happened to me the last 3 times i made deposits,i mean at 3dice forget the slots they straight kill me but even the video poker could barely get a win over my bet amount,it's bordering on sickening,i think it's time to go back to the ponies and sports betting untill the casinos loosen up

laurie i want to give you twenty dollars on 3dice. i had a great first date tonight with my colleague, we had a wikkid pub grub dinner and then drinks with some more of the crew at this other place where they go tuesday for karaoke. and wednesday is my poker night that i haven't got to go to for months since i started back working. tuesdays and wednesdays off rule now that i know this.

plus i could not have asked for a better first date and damn is she ever ten times hotter in street clothes. even sans glasses, which i told her make her twice as hot-looking. zomg i'm blogging. the moral of the story is i had all that fun, the pub grub was top-notch at this little joint on our way to the karaoke bar and the bill for two meals and two sodas was only $25 when i had budgeted $40-60 for our dinner.

thus, if she'll accept, i'd like to kick off another member giveaway. laurie play this twenty (don't accept it if you think you're better off not playing than playing but please have some fun on me if you wish), and if you win, pay back my twenty if you want, give twenty or however much away to someone else, share it around. enjoy it! i'm in a giving mood, please accept unless it goes against your principles.

i have to go download 3dice since installing windows yet again, hey does linux run casinos? i mentioned it but don't think i heard back anything? but yeah, i gotta see if i can win and withdraw to my credit card. please pm me laurie with your account number.

3dice is this allowed, though she is blocked/limited from deposit, can she accept my chips? please forgive if any of this is inappropriate, but i just felt the urge to donate. also i'm waiting on 2-3 cashouts totalling over $1000 so i can afford to go willy-nilly. good thing because i have to pay tuition coming up and a new wardrobe, maybe spare battery for my asus...

I have lost about 12,000 euro's in 1 year, that was for lotteries (I thought I could do something interesting with lottery system... not!) and online slots gambling. I never used bonuses and it was mostly on Playtech and Jackpotjoy that I lost so much money. I am now into RTG (Sci-fi) where I won around 9,000 USD... however, I gambled it all away last November .... so.... you are definitely not the only one!. I am more careful now, but you just cant predict it... with Sci-fi I started with 25 usd!! I am also playing at GrandMondial, and had some nice winnings, but again couldnt find the cashout button....Well, the fun was there, but it is nothing in comparison to what I lost.... I have to learn to restrain myself... at the moment I am gambling about 200-300 euro's per month. That is reasonable considering my present budget.

Computerized slots and roulette wheels are far too addictive. To prove that I only have to walk into the local bookmakers. All the fruit machines have been replaced by these monsters. They are both difficult to walk away from, the difference is you can chose your own stakes. Ive seen people go through 1000's in the matter of minutes, whereas on a fruit machine that would be limited.

I will only play them with a tiny budget. I never win anyway. Anyone who play them online should stick to the same stake levels and weekly deposit max.

Im not stating any groundbreaking information but online gambling can easily get out of hand. Deposit with a clear head and quit when its gone.

Maybe the games are not fair but all games are designed for the player to lose making even the fairest game unfair. We are not going to beat the casino and it will be costly trying.
