Hi guys,

what happened to our good old Slots in the last months (or even years)?
i Always thought im the only one thinking that but when i read that post:
Closed my main casino accounts
i saw there are more than me:
- terrible new slots
- mostly crap wins on higher bets
- ridicilous bad boni from online casinos

I remember years ago when you get every day during december a good amount of freespins from online Casinos - no deposit required, no wagerings, not these 10ct. tiny freespins...

Did you ever ask the Question why you Always see These 10000x wins with very low bets?
The Argument Always was: more People are playing with lower bets - so you see more screenshots like that.

But hey, Do you really think the reason is that more People are playing DoA with 9ct instead of 45ct. or higher?

People who frequently are playing with higher bets surely understand what i mean...

Im really now also near a Point of Closing my Casino accounts. Not cause im out of Money or anything like that.
The reason is that you simply dont get enough for the money you spent. Specially when youre playing with higher bets. (not enough Winnings, not enough Features, not enough good promo boni,...).

And this trend went down and down since years now...

Am i the only one thinking that?

Nope!

The whole experience has gone downhill and the good old days you describe are long, sadly gone!

Players got more experienced, (some) casinos got greedier, (some) developers got lazier, UKGC and other governing bodies got involved, general player volume increased exponentially etc etc

....and there in lies today's mediocre at best slotting past time.

Somethings afoot, I'm fortunate enough to be able to play at pretty high stakes and as an example, last night I played Raging Rhino my favourite slot, the original one, not the megaways. Anyway, I had a big session playing between £8.00 and £40.00 spins, had a decent amount of bonuses, including at £24.00 £28.00 £32.00 £36.00 and £40.00, now when you hit a bonus at these stakes you can't help but think this could be really massive! After all I've hit 1000x before on both £8.00 & £10.00 stakes, but no, they were all bonus gurantee with the exception of the £40.00 one which paid just over 20x...(sigh) maybe one day.....

£40.00 a SPIN!!!

Would love to be able to make that amount as a deposit lol
Yep, it's pretty mental I guess, but it's not like I'm doing it on a daily basis, maybe once a week or so. And it's all relative isn't it when there are plenty of real high rollers out there staking far more than I could.

Thanks for your replies. The big question is: what can we do against that? Closing the account of course. But I still love slots..
So there needs to be a way to show the industry that it’s simply ‚enough’ now...

Nah... you can't and won't prove a point to them mate.

The only ones who can are probably the regulators.

Everyone and his cat has a Megaways Licence - a perfect example of the fake treasures and promises on offer. People are buying features, gambling features and mostly coming out on the wrong end.

The days of slotting for hours on a 50 deposit are long gone. The general variance changed, both Operators and Casinos are offering lower RTP's on high variance games and much less perks. The list goes on.

The general landscape online isn't as fun as it used to be. I remember playing Break Da Bank Again for hours on end and felt that I had a 'session' ... even if I didn't win.

Now it's how much bankroll you have because even the features take 500 spins on average to trigger..

I know. And im not speaking about any lawsuit or whatever. Just a sign that they know that now it’s enough for us.
Maybe one day not a single deposit in any online casino outthere. If all of us would do that I’m pretty sure that they ‚would not like that‘.

I think the slots are better than they've ever been but the problem is that high variance has become the norm.I'd rather have it this way than grinding through crappy netent garbage with the occasional big win.

Basically the same then, these HV beasts you're grinding for the occasional big win too. The only difference being the big wins are much bigger but also much rarer so you'll likely bust your deposit way faster.

I usually play the same 5 slots over and over because the new releases just don't excite me. Blueprint and their 25 clones of everything, Pragmatic cloning everyone, new Novo's are all garbage, Yggdrasil making slots you need a 600 page manual to understand some of the functions, BTG and their "potential",... Need I go on?

You will lose your money whatever you play but playing BTG,Blueprint etc are much more fun ways to do it. I've hard far better wins on those slots than the vast majority of netent.

My best win was on Netent, not surprisingly 2500x for the 5 scatters on DOA. My best win on BTG and Blueprint Megaways combined I had just a few days ago with 728x on Bonanza. I've played so much Novo's and Merkurs for their big win potential but never got more than a little over 750x on BoR.

But don't get me wrong, I do agree that most Netent is garbage which you'll try once and never again. Same goes for most slots of other providers too for me.

ATM I have the feeling something is not right.
But I don't play as much as I used to, so I can't be sure....

Take MG. I constantly win on fun play and constantly lose on real play. Rare bonus for real and frequent with retriggers on fun play.
Also Viper client seems a lot better for some reason.

Take tournaments (not MG, they don't have them any more). Weird results all the time. Like the volatility on them is 10-20 times higher than on normal play.

Just a feeling. Like I said I have to play a lot more to be sure and my budget doesn't allow it.

I also enjoy Microgaming but I really don't know how old the slots I play are, such as Terminator 2 and Break da Bank Again but I am also enjoying the Book of Oz and Bookie of Odds book games which are,I believe, smaller studios working for Microgaming.

So, um, so it is true if you play a slot at a higher stake you get more/better wins? I thought this was a myth & everything just random? Hmm. That would prove my theory that there are prize bands & high rollers are more likely to have a win as there's less contention for the prize pool...

Variance only changes if players want it. There are many many maths profiles out there... but if players trend towards one, you will see many more like that. The trend will almost certainly change at some point...

The chance of a slot having different maths at a higher bet is extremely low... and if it did, it would likely be in the players favour... not the other way around...

I did just have a 6-hour MG marathon, going from a humble tenner to the dizzying heights of £140 at one point!

Bust now but that aside, the game(s) don't behave differently when upping stakes, as I was highrolling on 36p for an age.

That is, until the f*cker switched itself off

Well yes it is, witness Barcrest's "RTP discrimination" on their most recent games, whereby the RTP is chopped by about 2% if you have the audacity to play under £2 a spin!
