What do you expect from VIP status?

I have been seeing a lot of people with VIP status at casinos, that don't think being a VIP is that great. I would prefer if no casino names were involved, I thought this may be a good thread for casinos to read and learn what players really want.

What do you expect from your VIP status?

What would you like to see changed/improved on?

How do they make you feel special/not special?

Or, you are happy with your VIP experience, explain why.

Answer these questions, add more questions. I think this may be an interesting thread.

I am only a VIP at one casino. Sometimes they treat me like one, sometimes they don't.

They change their criteria constantly but as they don't publish the detailed criteria you never really know how you became a VIP in first place . There are various levels of rewards within the VIP status, again not published and they move you about within those levels as they see fit.

I prefer to know where I stand on a ongoing basis and what is expected of me as well as what is expected of them.

If I e mail the casino to a specifically given VIP e mail address it is still normally dealt with by ordinary support and I often get fobbed off. However if I call the VIP number I get a good service.

The only time I have been really hacked off is when I put £750 through casino for so little return I asked for my RTP 23%!!! yet they refused any credit or bonus. Now I know its not a requirement but how bad was 23% !

Anyway what I would like as a VIP is clear requirements and a dedicated VIP customer service.

I might be strange but I never expect I need to pay to get a certain level of customer service.
I expect to be treated like everyone else no matter what and nothing more.

I talk a lot with different Reps here but rarily livechat or normal mails.
Just because someone have more money would never make them special in my eyes, so no matter how much I spend in a casino I never expect more than the normal.

I try to treat all humans with respect, no matter who they are or where they work.
Why would money make anyone different? I will never get that;)

I might should add that if you bragg about money to me, or are doing it here, I probably will lose some respect instead.
...and people crawling around the floor for someone that's a VIP, don't ask how I feel about them:D

The casinos are the ones that "hype" VIP. I agree with you about being treated like everyone else of course, but that's not the case when casinos tell you that you are VIP, they make it seem like you are special, and receive more "treats" than non VIP. That's why I started this thread, I wanted to see if people like being a VIP or don't like it, or don't care either way.

Borgie, great post, I like this quote from you.

I agree with what you say totally.

Everybody is special regardless of how much money they do or do not have.

However many casinos would want a VIP to put so much money through their casino to class them as a VIP . Now that maybe wrong but that IS their criteria. Therefore the Casino labels people not the person themselves.

From your posts here I can see you are a fair and honest person . Your posts often strike a chord. We are all VIPS in our own way.

You are absolutely correct! That's how this world is working.
I might shoudn't have posted in this thread at all since I don't expect anything:)
I just have a hard time to be quiet, in case someone hasn't noticed that:D

Never mind me! You have your chance now to let the casinos know what you think. They will read this thread.
Great thread Just Play:thumbsup: ...and a lot nicer to read than those where people only loves to complain:)

What sticks in my craw is the advertised 'faster cashouts' for VIP members you sometimes see. A big no-no IMO. Cashouts should be fast for ALL players. All that says to me is 'we're a crock of sh!t when it comes to paying you and like you to reverse your cashouts wherever possible. However, once you've lost enough with us, we will leave your cashout in the desk tray one less day and increase the likelihood of you making a completed withdrawal.':(

No, your wrong. *wagging finger at you* You SHOULD post in this thread. Your thoughts are, you don't expect anything. I wanted this thread to be about different opinions, so casinos/members can see what others thought.

I expect withdrawals to be flushed if I ask. I expect to be remembered on my birthday.

I expect VIP to have some meaning beyond non-VIP.

This term is loosely used or rather awarded in online gaming as opposed to B&M casinos. The latter provides you with real perks including free accomodation , food and other priveleges. Online casinos may give you nothing and sometimes use cloaked promos to extract more deposits from you. Honestly, I dont see much value in being a VIP unless at some places like 32RED and 3 Dice. Others dont treat you remotely like what the term sounds.

What do I expect from being VIP? Exactly what I"m getting right now, cashback once a month from my losses. Special VIP coupons with lower wagering requirements than the regular players. Weekly cashback chips from your losses from the week.
The only that's missing, is the actual gift to my inbox, like I've seen some casinos do for players. Like an Amazon coupon, or even a little gift sent to my home. (Heck it could be something from the dollar store)
Yet what I'm liking about the program I'm apart of is everyone qualifies as long as you've submitted your verification documents. Versus having to deposit so much.

What Sara said. Before I state what I expect from VIP status I would like to express a few points as to how the journey to VIP status was reached. I do not agree with the MGS road to VIP status - Keep playing and you gradually rise in levels as each new tier is reached, stop playing for a while and your VIP status degrades, there are several reasons why you would have to stop playing, but having no spare cash will be right at the top of this list, so, you get punished because things are tight. VIP status that is based on how much and not how often you deposit get's a huge no-no from me also, Ladbroke's is a great example, you need to deposit around £10,000 a month to benefit from their VIP system.

Also, good publicity - You do not have to be an affiliate or rep to tout a casino, speaking highly of them with respective screenshots of how they resolved a problem, and good wins will almost certainly encourage other players to play there, I personally think that each player should be assessed on their overall activities towards the casino and not purely based on the amount they deposit and ranking systems.

What do I expect from being a VIP - Better bonuses, a higher loyalty points to wagering ratio, that personal touch where you are addressed by name and not SLR263245645 for eg. I have in years gone by when I used to deposit a whole heap more than I do nowadays made it to a few tier based VIP levels, and tbh it didn't make me feel anywhere near the importance that Ben made me feel at Nordic / Maxino.

So, in the nutshell - If i'm lucky enough to beat the VIP system and become one, I expect to be treated accordingly, no matter how big / small my deposits are, and when times get tough I do not expect to be penalized.

Yes, this kind of VIP doesn't make sense to me. I deposit and gradually rise and get to a good tier, then I stop depositing for whatever reason, (no spare cash, illness, anything really) like you said, and then I am down at the bottom again and have to start all over?

What happened to acknowledging my deposits to get to that tier?

I also agree with this. I've only been to a B&M once in my life, so I can't comment on the perks they have.

Doesn't it seem some casinos have everyone a VIP? I wasn't depositing at a casino for a while, then I get an email that says I was now VIP?

That's because you are a VeryImportantPlayer, not a VeryImportantPerson

It's also bad marketing and a way of making you believe you are special.
I'm getting that all the time. From casinos I have never played at, and even those who spam me calls me that.

Well I am, so they are not so wrong;)

Well the only place I'm a VIP is at iNetBet - I'm definitely not a high roller, but I've played there a long time, not depositing huge, but fairly frequently. Also I'm not too much of a jerk when I deal with them, so maybe that was why I was made a VIP. It was kind of exciting at first, because I don't have the kind of disposable income to become a VIP anywhere else.

But to be honest, as time goes by I realize that except for the occasional freeroll tourney, I don't really see all that much benefit from it. There are lots of deposit bonuses that I don't use, and Facebook promos I don't participate in, and the 'random' VIP free chips are based on what you deposit, so basically it's the same thing as not being a VIP.

This is the most importnt bit ie where you play within your means and far, far superior to any VIP status awarded to you. Otherwise, its just vanity IMO.

We all know I loves me some 3dice, yes? With that said, I am not a total fan of their VIP levels. I think it should be based on your deposits but instead it's based on comp points and playtime. For example let's say played on and off the two periods of 10 days before, not too much but then I deposit 2k+ with no playtime the next ten days. Then on loyalty day I go down a level because I lost or didn't get enough playtime? That's how I understand it anyway.

I don't get that. It's random, it's not a guaranteed win or loss, so why am I being dropped a level for losing? It feels almost like being punished because I couldn't win on the slots that week or month.

I do love the perks though, and it's awesome of them to offer such things as extra rainy day, match bonuses, no deposits and tourneys but it still doesn't make sense to me why their VIP plan works the way it does.

I know at least 20 people that agree with me and that's just off the top of my head.

I also don't like the fact that you drop in VIP at any casino. Once your deposits get you to a certain level you should stay there IMO.

That's just my 5.5 cents.

VIP Status reminds me of that TV sitcom 'Cheers'. Nice to play where everyone knows your name. Add the birthday a Xmas presents, like free chips, hampers (got a case of Penfolds (barossa valley) wine last year for my b-day). Those extra special touches which really say, thanks for your patronage.
