What company owns Bovada?
I asked a chat rep and the answer he gave was,
Quote:
"Can you confirm why you would like to know this information?
followed by....
Quote:
"That is not information I can provide you."
So does anybody know? And why is this some big secret that Bovada cannot disclose??

The answer is on the link your post created: Salmon River Technologies Ltd

I did not mean to post a link at all.....and I removed it so not sure what it could have linked too?

How do you know that this company owns them? And why is it kept secret at Bovada?

The companies behind the casinos are never out in the open because of the precarious situation in the US.

You could be a law enforcement agent asking the support agent for the company name and a few days later they would be busted.

The company names behind Bovada/Bodog Group have changed frequently, I got about half a dozen of them and none might be still active. Until 2016, it was all known as they had a Kahnawake licence but they were asked to either ditch US players or lose the licence by the end of 2016. They opted for the latter.

The question is what would it help in your case?

Thank you for explaining.....

I just wanted to know what company ran the casino that I have deposited thousands at is all. Also, whether they also own/run Bodog, Ignition, Slots.lv etc. Each one claims not be connected at all with each other, but I believe they are all subsidiaries of the same parent//holding company.

Yes, they all belong to the Bodog Group

So this all came after they lost their gaming regulation license, correct?

And is this why their RNG is not certified or audited by a third party company....because no company would certify a self-regulating casino?

Sorry for all the questions, but as a player we get warned everywhere NOT to play at non-regulated or non-certified RNG casinos so I am questioning if I should keep playing at them anymore.

None of the casinos taking players from the US has a proper licence. That does not mean they are all bad.

The Bodog Group has been pretty solid for years now and one of the fastest payers for US players, especially for Bitcoin depositors. AFAIK, they are based in one of the Baltic countries.

RTG games have always been a bit of an "unknown" as they do not publish RTPs, audit reports etc. But they have been around for some 20 years now, you would think they wouldn't if they would be completely rogue.

A few years ago, Bodog had some sort of scandal with BetSoft games where progressives would never trigger. They very quickly removed all those games, hence, it shows they operate with some integrity.

After that, Bodog bought the source code for RTG games and develops their own slots - A Night with Cleo, Gridiron Glory etc. They also do not publish RTP values but the games seem to perform normal.

That was an accident...so sorry!! I removed the link....my bad.
You cannot accidentally put links in. The only time it occurs automatically is referring to internal CM links to members, reps, reviewed casinos etc. You must be pasting www. or https:// links in, or adding links to your text using the posting tools. Please don't do it again - final chance! Thanks.

It was an accident because I copied and pasted my post from another forum where the asked the same question....it automatically adds links to casino names in posts, and I did not realize that. I swear that is how it happened.

Most casinos won't tell you who owns it or where their offices are becasue that is dangerous information to give out - sore losers showing up in anyone's office and threatening people is not a healthy working environment. It has happened before.

I hear you but that could happen in any business that deals in finance. And what about land-based casinos, same risk. I appreciate your response but I think that reasoning is not a valid excuse, sorry.

It was a general statement. And I know this for a fact visiting a number of casino operation centers personally - but these are the ones that take other than UK bets. I have seen the threats. Gamblers can't be compared to people selling people penny stocks or whatever. Gamblers - especially problem gamblers can be easily unhinged. Another reason why so many folks in the industry use pseudonyms - you won't find that in the finance industry. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

I hear Everything that you are saying. My father worked in the financial industry and those people can get pretty unhinged too. When anyone loses money, they can get unhinged pretty easily in my opinion. But my issue with Bovada not acknowledging who owns themI is more about Them not being regulated by a gaming commission. Knowing what company actually owns them and other entities under that company should be public knowledge in my opinion.
