I thought the player did win the "pair+" bet of 40:1??

Isn't that what the screenshot says?

You win the Pair Plus bet regardless of the dealer hand.

The Wizard lists the probability of a straight flush at 460-1, so the simultaneous dealer and player SF's must be arounf 200,000-1.

But the player got a 40:1 payout on the pair+ bet because of the straight flush, correct?

That's why I quoted johnsteed's response ... :D

Not just a player gets 40:1 pair+ but also 5:1 ante. All player loses is a raise bet and an ante bet. I'll take this tradeoff any time.

Once in AC casino a dealer had 3 10s and I got a 7-8-9 straight flush on the same deal.
